    07/20 - 07/22 - Bellingham, WA

Joe and Ruth you are the poster kids for the C-Brats Group. It is fine people like you that make us want to stay connected. We owe you a huge DEBT of gratitude because you talked us into our first C-Dory several years back and you were behind us the whole way when we purchased the TUG. The...

    Trailer Equipment Must-Haves

King Trailiers are notorious for going through brake pads. You will want to be sure you have excellent pad width before taking on a steep grade.

    2003 22 Cruiser, $45,000 (Seattle Area)

Papers have been signed and C-Sick now has a new owner. He is familiar with the C-BRAT site and I will let him determine if he wants his name and information revealed here. Meanwhile I am waiting for our new Ranger Tug 25 to be delivered mid June. I will greatly miss C-Sick.

Thanks Mike, You are right on about dealing with lending sources that know boats and specifically know C-Dory. Sea Ray Fife who is the new dealer for C-Dory had no problem qualifying a potential buyer verses his efforts to finance through Bank of America. The future is bright for C-Dories...

    Memorial Day Princess Louisa Cruise

I spent Thursday - Sunday at Malibu right at the rapids. It was great. There was a 15 foot swing in tides and the rapids were running at full speed. What is so cool is to see the rapids at slack tide. The Park Dock was full and there wasw only one sail boat on the buoys at McDonald Island...

    Mobile Boat Maintenance

I would love to take advantage of a Mobile Mechanic. For me the bottom line is finding a honest mechanic that does good work. It is well worth it to me to pay top dollar for such service. It is so convenient to have the person come to the boat verse having to tow it to a facility that may not...

    2003 22 Cruiser, $45,000 (Seattle Area)

Jack, Tom, Chivita.... Thanks for the tip about paying for someone to tow the boat to Alaska. Tommorow I am taking a serious looker out on the Sound. If the boat is not the right boat for him I will be posting it on Craigs' List. I hope your posts will perk up the interest of the Alaska...

    Windshield Cover... why outside???

I have learned how to both put the cover in place and remove it by taking advantage of both the starboard and port windows on my 22. I only have four snaps which I can reach (2 on each side) through the window. It can be a bit ugly if it is wet upon retrival but thats what the Wallas is for...

    Windshield Cover... why outside???

The one advantage I can think of is when you trail the boat it gives an added layer of protection to the windshield. Not as convenient to put on and remove when it is outside.

    2003 22 Cruiser, $45,000 (Seattle Area)

C-Sick is still on the market. A number of lookers but nobody has signed the dotted line. Wish like heck I had the weekend off to take her one last time to Lopez. A lot of interest from Alaskans. Having spent time on Prince Williams Sound with Seward as the home port I can sure see why.

    2003 22 Cruiser, $45,000 (Seattle Area)

C-Dude, Thanks for the tip. If I get a serious Alaska buyer I will certainly be in touch with you. Have any of you heard of taking advantage of the Alaska Ferry that runs from Bellingham Washington to Alaska. Do you know if it is a possibility to put a trailer on board if it doesn't have a...

    Changing Boat Names

I think I saw your boat being lifted out of the water on Tuesday when I was there keeping an eye on an opening for our C-Ranger Tug. The best of names seem to be a play on words about something that you are passionate about. What does the boat really mean to you. From Des Moines the closest...

    Lets talk hull #'s

I have hull #31 and it is due to begin on May 1 and be completed the 3rd week in May. I talked to Jeff yesterday and we discussed some of the issues that have surfaced. He is all about addressing them in a reasonable manner. Quality improvement continues as new owners report in. I don't...

So What Did You Do On or With Your Ranger Tug Today?

Mac & Linda, Congratulations on the progress of Island Ranger. I think it is so cool that you are going to head home on the water and pick up the trailer later. WTG What all will LUSRF being doing to the boat - other than bottom paint and sea trials? The timing is going to be just great to...

C-Ranger Dropped From C-Dory Web Site

The links were restored on both sites right after our discussion here. It is my hope and that of several others that the two companies will see the benefits of staying linked. Friendship is a great gift with many mutual benefits. Its why we are Brats!!!

The old debate, twin engines versus one engine on a C-Dory

I had an impeller go out in the San Juans. I have twin 40's which allowed me to cross Rosario Straights and return to where my trailer was waiting. I would not have wanted to attempt that crossing with a kicker which would have meant finding a place to do the repairs in the Islands. Deer...

    A new C-Ranger

Kim and I visited the factory just after noon. We saw the progress on Mac's boat. Won't be long now! I will look forward to your pictures. You can sure see the advantage of having the factory install electronics. I was thinking it sure would be great to add a piece of conduit with a pull...
