    Honda 150 four stroke problems???

Seems to me that the point where things start changing and slowing down between the two is the very same point at which the boat would normally climb onto a plane. Maybe it just can't (or barely) get on plane with 7 people aboard? Would also explain the prop slip, too. Just a thought.

    Looking for Traveler

I grew up in Charleston and spent many, many thousands of hours in and around Edisto. Fond memories from there. I am jealous. I am 30mi down river from Washington now and will certainly keep an eye out. Best Regards, Ray

Tough Tom Cat 255 Boating Day Ends with Sea-Tow

The failure mode you describe with your shore power is typical of a salt-water environment connection. What usually happens is that the blades on the connector get some corrosion on them and the contact resistance increases. Over time, this resistance increases more and more which generates...

May be sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong, but it seems if the vent hose was clogged, it could slow things down considerably.

Trouble shooting the honda 225 and repair at the dock.

Funny - I read a difference between "Trouble shooting..." and "Troubleshooting...." I wondered, "why would you want to shoot your Honda 225? (not that I wouldn't have wanted to on some of my past outboards....)

    Quick simple poll please

I was mostly going by this from Boris for my estimated boat weight. It seems about representative of my loading situation. As well as the fact that all four of my tires are wearing bad on the inside edges: The trailer GVWR on the mfgr sticker is 7240lbs allowing for 1240lbs for the...

    Quick simple poll please

Sorry. I should have known better than to post with so little info. Apologies. Replacing a perfectly good aluminum trailer that was provided way undersized by the original dealer to the original boat owner (I am the 2nd). Trailer carrying capacity of only 6000lbs for a 25. Anyway...

Right you are, Sunbeam! Propane and butane in this case. I just uploaded a project post here: http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?p=264370#264370 Thanks (sort of) - you are inspiring me to keep putting these projects up (I hope folks aren't getting annoyed with them! ) - I...
