I finally got to go out fishing this season. The water flattened out. 3 King Salmon and 6 halibut in the fish hold in about 4 hrs. A great day especially since my son Dan was out with us and caught the 30 lb. king. Whooo hoo. Trying again tomorrow hoping for similar results.

On my previous 22' I had a Honda 90. The tach on it worked well for 5 yrs. then started to get "funny". It would go up and down w/o the engine changing. A good hard slap with my hand would return it to the proper RPM. It still does that but basically works ok. Not a 1st class item.

Mine tops out at 6 rpm and 33 mph and 14 gph. I don't do that at all. With cheaper gas now it will not be such a hurt to "kick it up a notch" though. It may turn out that I just burned up $250 needlessly on the PT purchase. Jack

Foggy, My hull is also 26' long. The "V" angle is 12 degr. and I believe yours is 17. My V is approx. 70% of the hull length and then tapers to a full V at the bow. I cruise at 4000 rpm and 23 mph and 8.6 gph now. My neighbor has a 26' C-dory with the same hull, different cabin arrangement...
