Opinion needed - does this look right.

Good call Harvey. Close inspection shows the sides bowed in at the forward bolt and one of the ears (stbd side) bent in. So the question is do I try to bend it back flat? My first thought was a come along to the trailer. But then I don't want to stress it so much I damage any of the deck...

Opinion needed - does this look right.

It appears that the whole thing is bent up from the bow forward. Is this the factory one? Should it be tilted up like that? Thanks in advance. I noticed it this morning when I set the windlass on the deck to think about how far back it needed to be.

Can anyone tell me which boat this?

Harvey, It came from an album but it was a collection of pics from various members and some were identified some were not. This one had no attribution to the member. I was hoping someone here would either recognize it as theirs or knew whose boat it was...

Question for brain trust. How to determine the year

of my Honda BF40A outboards. They were listed as a 2001, but each cover has a sticker saying they meet the 2006 emission standards. Seems strange, perhaps the sticker was added to the cover at a later date? The serial numbers are BAYS-3210XXX. Any ideas????? I just drained my carbs because...

    Lewmar Pro Series 700 install.

After considering all of the comments in my previous thread,I went purchased the horizontal windlass I've read most of the threads here regarding the installation. One remaining question is regarding the large cutout for the chain. There have been different opinions about how to handle this...

Tis the time of year to start planning next years cruise.

Thanks Rick! Local knowledge is always the best. If you don't mind, I understand that July and Aug are the most busy months for tourists. What is the weather like in late May early June? We don't mind visiting places on what is considered "shoulder season", either before or after the peak...

Tis the time of year to start planning next years cruise.

We vacation together with life long friends. They, however are not boaters. But we plan on visiting Maine with them. And, since we will be in Maine, we are bringing Willow to cruise without them and perhaps share a couple of days on the water and they would sleep ashore overnight. We have...

Why folks financially support an idea or orgaganiztion

Bill, Thanks for the tip-jar explanation. And since I'm new, would you mind answering the other questions I asked in my previous posts? My questions would be does anyone own the word mark "C-Brats"? Is there a formal organization with by-laws that control the operation of the organization. If...

Why folks financially support an idea or orgaganiztion

Being a newcomer to this site, I'm sadly lacking in historical knowledge about the formation, management and funding of C-Brats. I'm a member of a BMW motorcycle site: http://bmwsporttouring.com It is a privately owned site that is managed by volunteer moderators with guidance from the owner...

I've been very unsuccessful in searching on this site and need a little help please. If I wanted to see only the posts that have the phrase "spare prop", what format would I enter those words in the search box? I tried spare+prop and didn't get the expected results.

Thanks for the informative replies. Willow does have twin Honda 40's. But if we were out for an extended period of time, the loss of one would not be disastrous but would be inconvenient. I've owned BMW motorcycles for a long time and always wrench them myself so changing a prop isn't a...
