    Higher-end Boat Chairs

I've had a couple of those WM chairs for two years now - no issues, rather comfortable, very light and easy to stow. I removed the backpack straps.

    Les Lampman Passed Away

I was hugely surprised to hear about Les. Since he sold my CD22 a few years ago I haven't been on the CBrats site nearly as much, but checking in today I saw a reference...searched for details...and here I am. He was wonderful.

    BoatUS Magazine Feb-Mar 2019 Cover

Did any of you get this today? The cover image says "Finalist: BoatUS Photo Contest - Harvey Hochstetter met up with a fellow C-Dory owner while boating around the north end of Vancouver Island."

    I found a another 14 c-dory of craigslist.

Interesting - looks pretty minty (but dusty). Wouldn't 25hp be on the low side?

non boating dog question. invisible fence

Our property isn't suitable for fencing, but we live in a protected hilly development with an undeveloped lot next to us. Keili (our Samoyed) wasn't even house trained when we got her (she was a breeder's dog whom they retired as they're now breeding her offspring), and didn't respond to any...

What Options would you like on a New 22 cruiser

What about getting the factory to add that roll (or was it spray?) on insulating paint? That's one job that is a major PITA to do later that could be a huge win for your boats. And while I'm at it, how about eliminating the foam under the berth and installing hatches?

What Options would you like on a New 22 cruiser

As a now ex CD22 owner, the feature I missed most was an outside steering station (with engine controls). Given that Honda / Yamaha / Suzuki all make excellent and comparable engines, I would give an advantage to any that supported dual controls (prohibitive with Honda, not sure about other...

    Best very small dinghy motor

I have the 2.5 Yamaha as well and love it, but "tad" in this case means 7+ lbs. (37.5 versus 30.1 if my brief search is correct). Given the awkwardness of mounting - dismounting the motor with the dinghy floating next to the boat, I think the lighter motor would be more convenient and less...

    Generac generator

The Honda also has quite a few accessories: propane conversion, parallel kits, covers, locking brackets, covers... The resale market for Honda is also stronger: I see (6) eu2000/eu2000i on Seattle CraigsList. I bought mine on CL last year for $700 with less than 100 hours on it.

1987 22ft c-dory angler for sale $9,500 Sweet Home Oregon

"retfish" from Shelton posted a message in the "Wanted" sub-forum last week looking for an older 22 to refurbish...

    Inside Passage Must See Spots

Not a particular location, but I would recommend you find a copy of "Alaska Blues" by Joe Upton. It may be rather dated now, but I really enjoyed it 30 years ago when I took my trawler up to Juneau to live on.

Why You Need an iPad and the Navionics App

I have the BadElf on my WiFi iPad (1st gen) and it's terrific. Plus I'll be able to move it to a subsequent iPad (which will also be WiFi only). While it's substantially better than the built-in GPS, it does have a few quirks. One is that - since it takes up the device connector - you have to...

    A Fresh Perspective on Boating

The boat in the picture is a Devlin - hardly a "shanty" boat builder! http://tinyhouseblog.com/floating-homes/millie-hill-floating-getaway/ I recall a bunch of these in the 28' range being built in the Seattle area - I thought they were called "Eastsound Bay Barge Boats" or something like that...

    Ipad Holder

The other trick I needed for my first gen iPad (ios 4) was to disable "shake", which popped up a menu that had to be manually dismissed. Unfortunately, I had to jailbreak the iPad to get that feature. A quick grovelling of the web doesn't indicate that this was included in ios 5. Also, since I...

Please Weigh in on this boat....

That's a reasonable boat with nice motors. You realize that it doesn't have standing headroom, right?

Sea Tow's Automated Radio Check Service

I sent in a request the day I saw the Panbo piece to have it at my yacht club in Bellevue - haven't heard back.

I have a half dozen suits a la the Stearns "Cold Water Immersion Suit" on my trawler in Bellevue (Meydenbauer Bay) - happy to lend you one.
