    2003 C-Dory 16 Cruiser, 50 HP Engine, Well Equipped

Bob, the Attach files box (shown in my photo below) allows you to put put images directly into your post. You can attach multiples, but there may be a limit. Xenforo is very friendly forum software.

Here is a dumb one, Sole's in 22 cockpits...

We used Dri-Dek to keep our feet (somewhat) dry. It gets soft in warm weather, but it mostly works.

    Happy Thanksgiving

Bob, thank you! I hope that you and Marie had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Diana and I had a quiet but unusual day. Our turkey wasn’t thawed enough to go in the oven, so we made a taco salad and postponed the big meal until yesterday. The delayed Thanksgiving dinner was delightful. Our best to...

    Camper tents on C-Dory

Donald, I have seen fixed biminis attached to the house and extending back over the cockpit. Both that I recall were raised so you didn’t have to stoop, made from marine grade stainless pipe, and covered with laced on fabric. There’s no reason why that couldn’t be the basis for a camper back...

You can give em wings but.....

Marty, that little Ranger has a soul that calls out to us. Dont forget, boats are like fly rods, you can’t have just one.

Another good search site to use is searchtempest.com. It uses a search robot to peruse the craigslist sites within a radius that you set.

    Repower

Bob, those were the days. In the early 1960s, dad bought an open 14’ fiberglass Performer, with an 18 hp tiller steered Evinrude. My sister and I could ski behind it, but not enough poop for mom and dad. It soon sported a 35 hp Johnson, with a deck and wheel steering. We took it offshore to...

    Repower

I finally got off my duff and repowered the Gregor tinnie with a Suzuki 25 (tiller, electric start and trim). I had intended to go to Sportcraft, but received a better quote from Indian Creek Sports in Kuna, Idaho. They were 200 miles closer, and also honored my Oregon residency, not charging...

    Canvas

Dr. Bob’s mention of an entry zipper is extremely important IMO. We did not have them on or boat, and it meant either squeezing under the Bimini while at the dock, or disconnecting part of the Bimini from the cabin in order to step down into the boat. BTW, just about everything the good Doctor...

    Site Update Update

Good news! I moderate a small travel site (WanderTheWest.com) that just moved to Xenforo in late May or early June. With very few exceptions, the members love it. The moderator tools are expanded, taking a number of actions off the plate of the administrators. The learning curve for members...

I’ll chime in regarding Sportcraft. I’ve repowered two boats there, and also recommend giving them a call.

    ceramic coating

Ken, no personal experience, but a good number of folks in the Oliver travel trailer forum have had it done to their fiberglass Ollies. Expensive, but the folks seem to have high praise for the results.
