01/23 - 01/25 - Seattle Boat Show 2015

OK - I've been remiss in getting this done. For those who plan on attending the brewery dinner, please take the following steps:
1) PM me with the names and numbers of those who are attending.
2) I'll reply with my full name, home address and mobile phone number. I really don't want to publish that here since I occasionally also "publish" when I'm out on the boat.
3) Send a check in the amount of $15/person to the address I'll provide via PM.

If you need transport from the hotel to the brewery, let me know. I'll likely rent a 15 passenger van as I have done in the two previous years.

Just a heads-up that there are indeed some rooms left at the Silver Cloud for the special Boat show rate since I just made our reservations arriving Wednesday, January 22 and checking out on Sunday, January 25th.

We reserved a room w/ a King Bed so perhaps the mentioned 'out of rooms' condition was for other room sizes.

Hope to see you all at the SBS CBGT!

Take care,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah (not coming to SBS) on C-Renity

The hotel down there told me it was totally "full" but there would be some availability opening up as "commitments" are freed up between that time and the time of the event. They must make blocks available for certain groups but only until specific due dates. I elected to just get it over with and make a res at the other location. It just means we start the show at the lake that much easier and ride the shuttle down to the main show. See you there!

Greg

Glad you and Cindy are going Greg. Is Aven going along this year?

Looking forward to seeing you guys,
Dan, Tanya, and Hannah on C-Renity

She still has limited patience while mom and dad stare and drool and its just a bit more fun for us without her to look after. We don't do it much but this is one of those events. See you there Dan!

susan here

we decided to make reservations at the Silver Cloud on Lake union, cheaper rooms (not by much 159$ for a view, 139$ no view) but free parking vs 25$ a night parking at the stadium. we will see how well the boat show shuttle works out to and from the stadium.

for an extra 30$ a night we could rent a view room with suite and living room . if we find that transportation is easy we may do that next year and can you all over for cocktails.

not sure if we are going to the Snoqualmie brewery on Friday. we may stay in town for dinner if there are others interested in joining us

Looking forward to seeing all of you

I couldn't get a pm to send a few hours ago. My question is the location of Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom. I likely mistakenly thought it was somewhere on the ship canal. I will pass this year.

The brewery is actually in Snoqualmie Washington about 40 minutes out of Seattle.

this is the address

8032 Falls Ave. S.E.
Snoqualmie, WA 98065

It is actually 25 miles outside of Seattle on an under-utilized freeway! Roger's van transportation makes it pretty painless, too!

Just thinking about the Silver Cloud on the lake and wonder if Roger's van will be picking up there too. Or, any other options for transport from there to the Friday night transport to the brewery?

We will have a couple of seats BACK from the brewery to the silver cloud on the lake if that would help at all. Heading straight from work on the way to that event.

Greg

Greg, Thanks, I haven't decided for sure but if i went to the Silver Cloud, i would prefer a ride to and from there to the brewery, or I could drive but I would prefer to have someone with me that knows the way if possible. Just not keen on driving around Seattle, especially at night.

Just a bump about the brewery dinner on Friday night Jan 23, 5-9PM.

So far, I've only heard from a very limited number of people and have only 2 who need a ride. So unless a lot more request rides, I'll just be arranging car pooling (the two who need a ride at present, can ride with me).

If anyone is interested in a Saturday evening dinner, I'm thinking we can make reservations at a chinese restaurant near the show. Let me know if that's of interest.

Hey C-Brats, So I know on one of my other posts we were all talking about possibly having some C-Brats set up at their own booth next to us at the Seattle Boat Show as part of helping promote the C-Dory Line. We, as well as some other C-Brats have agreed that having C-Dory owners to answer personal questions about the C-Dory line would be beneficial and fun! If anyone is interested in participating in this idea please contact me and we can talk more detail. For those who can't participate but still planning on going to the show, don't forget to come see us!!

For those who don't recall/know, Matt is in sales with Waypoint Marine. Waypoint is C-Dory dealer located near the locks in Seattle. They will have a 25' C-Dory at the boat show.

Thanks Roger, I forgot to mention exactly who I am. I forget that not everyone knows me! LOL

I am taking a shot at resurrecting the Saturday night pot luck.

the silver cloud at the stadium will not let us have a pot luck and bring in outside food because they have a restaurant. how stuffy of them.

HOWEVER

the Silver cloud at Lake Union next to the Boats Afloat show does not have a restaurant. and Have agreed to let us Bring in our own food for a potluck. remember the boat show has a free shuttle to and from the stadium and lake union. and parking is free at the silver cloud lake union.

To get a 700sqfoot conference room they will charge us only 100$ for the room and we can have it from 4pm until 8pm. as long as we reserve a block of 10 hotels rooms.

now I have told the silver cloud that I doubt we will accomplish the 10 rooms this year. so I am leaning on them to let us have it anyway to get the ball rolling this year.

here are the details of the silver cloud at lake union accommodations
