03/10 - 03/12 - Poulsbo, WA

C-Sick left around 11:30 on Saturday. It was smooth sailing back to Des Moines until we we got to the North end of Vashon. The wind was blowing and the current was running. I was mighty glad to be in a C-Dory. It handled the two to three feet waves like a champ. I learned an important lesson in not oversteering. It is amazing when I let go of the wheel how it corrects itself with little or no help.

Great to see all who were present. My work is sure getting in the way of my play.

Yes, I was a guest on Knotty-C on a little cruise circumnavigating Bainbridge Saturday, and we noted that out in the Sound the wind waves were 2 feet plus...we were headed south, so not exactly bouncing - more like surfing!

retty rough ride back to Everett on Saturday afternoon. It was odd to listen to NOAA WX forecasting wind waves of 1 foot or less as we bounced north. I can't say for sure how rough it was, but one or two feet it was not.

True Story belongs to Tim and Pam from Snoqualmie, and they were in our little group cruising Desolation Sound - they were almost certainly going to or returning from a fishing trip. They are social enough folk but between fishing and partying, I guess they'd rather be fishing!

Forgot to mention that I saw 3 C-Dory boats on I-5...one on the way up called True Story? and two more on the way back down...we all waved at each other as we passed.
