WOO HOO!!!

Can't wait either! Amy and I need a break away from here and out on to the water. Look forward to seeing everyone.

It will be nice to be boating around out there.

Crazy John Frazey (& Amy too)

Dear Fellow C-Brats:

Do you have a proposed schedule for the weekend?

My wife and I won't be docking our CD-22 in Poulsbo, as it's a long tow from western NY! But, we will be in the PNW that weekend and plan to visit my wife's mother in Poulsbo on Sunday, 3/25.

I see you plan to conclude the gathering by 1 pm. Is there a C-Brats breakfast or lunch gathering on Sunday we might "crash"? (We'll be glad to pay for our meals!)

Wayne

Wayne,

Wow, you'll certainly win the "I came farthest" special glow-in-the-dark button. I'm sure there will be something on Sunday morning, there's usually a breakfast before everybody heads out. Patti and I will be there until early afternoon and would be happy to meet you and steer you around a little. I'm sure others much more knowledgeable of the area will be there that AM as well. In any event, I'll have my cell (360) 720-3143, so give us a call.

Sounds like a fun weekend. My son, Jack, and I will be there on Friday and Saturday. We do not need a boat slip. We will be staying in our trailer. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Jeff

OK, Poulsbo-ites!
I have confirmation from the Poulsbo harbormaster that we are all set for our weekend! I went ahead and ordered good weather and calm seas, as well.
We're bringing Nick (15) with us, too.
As far as schedule-type questions, there's not really a hard and fast rule. Potluck probably at 6; breakfast when you wake up. :D
See you all there!

Unfortunately, it looks like we may not be able to make the Poulsbo gathering this year. I'm having minor sinus surgery on Thursday and don't think I'll be in shape to make the gathering :(

Hope you all have a great time and will look forward to seeing some of you at the Lopez gathering. Peter

Aw c'mon Peter - just hold your breath! Maybe later in the week you guys can make it down to the Bell Street dock in Seattle and say howdy. We plan to be there most of the week.

Now then - young Miss Jamie informs me that they do not have school on Friday and she just about has me talked into driving north that afternoon instead of Saturday morning. I could haul the loaded boat to work a couple hours early and have someone deliver the kids and dogs to me about 1:00. That should get us there by 6:00 depending on the infernal traffic. Changing plans at the last minute is a good way keep Janet the Cruise Director on her toes! I'll check with the boss at work tomorrow.

Peter,

Assuming my boat is fixed (again) in time for this, maybe I can pay you for your spot. I have always planned on going but haven't officially signed up since I wasn't sure the boat would be ready.

Geez RB, have a heart. The poor guy is about to get his nose smeared over to the side of his head and you're bumming his parking spot!

Just joshing the both of you - I do wish Peter the best. I hope he does come down to visit.

So, Dr. Roger, think you could impress upon my girls the importance of keeping the GPA up even in elementary school? Maybe I can get in a nap on the boat while you are lecturing them.

Roger, by all means, take my spot. Unless of course I'm raring to go by Saturday :D

In all seriousness, maybe you should contact the cruise director, Janet, to work out the details. Hope you have fun. I'm glad you finally got the boat back.

Mike, thanks for the kind words. I may try to come down to say hi to you at Bell Harbor since I work so close.

Mike,
I wish Peter the best also. I don't know how much good I can do with the girls. I had good grades through grade school and high school but was a real slacker the first 2.5 years of college. It was only after I met my wife that I "straightened out" (if you can call it that). Point being - you never know who's going to turn out how. I think the most important thing to teach kids is the golden rule - treat others as you would like to have them treat you. That's best taught by repeated good examples and I think you've got that one down pretty well.

However, I am willing to occupy a lot of their time while you sleep. I'll tell them stories about all the practical jokes I played on my dad (April fools day is coming up)....

Janet - At Peter's suggestion - What should I do re: paying for a spot? I'm not yet 100% sure I'll be there. I dropped the boat back at Sea Ray LU in Redmond yesterday, and they promised to work on it first thing today. Hopefully, it's a minor issue and I'll have it back in time for Poulsbo. I'd probably leave early Sat AM and spend Sat. night in Poulsbo. I could reimburse Peter if he doesn't show - or perhaps just pay the harbormaster directly when I arrive.

Roger, don't worry about any reimbursement. Consider it as a thank you for the great salmon trip at Neah Bay last summer. Or a downpayment for a new trip this summer

Who knows, depending on how I feel, Caryn and I might mosey on down to Poulsbo by car on Saturday, we'll see. Sure wish we could take the boat down, there's still some good blackmouth fishing to be had.

As for your educational experience, it sounds exactly like mine. Good in high school, bad and unfocused for 2 1/2 years, marriage and a kid on the way and very focused. It all has to do with maturity and being ready to put your nose to the grindstone.

Peter

I am new to the group, and I would like to sign up for the Poulsbo event, can someone point me to where the sign-up and pay section is? Thanks Deb

Dan & Deb,

At the top of the page, click on "Event Signups", go down to "Join A Group", make sure Poulsbo is selected, click the "View Information" box on the right, then click the "Join Group" box. It's that simple. As for payment, in one of the previous pages of the thread, Janet gave instructions on where to send the check.

Good luck and have fun!

Peter

Hello everyone! Cruise direcctor here!
It sounds as if there may be some shuffling of slips, and that's fine! We'll iron out the details once we are there.
It's going to be tons of fun! Be sure to bring your gifts of honor to the cruise director - just kidding!
I do plan on sunshine again this year, plenty of shopping, and several coffee shop visits.
Word has it that Ranger Jeff is bringing his ENTIRE family, too....
It's going to be a great time - I can't wait!!!
Woo-hoo!!!
