04/01 - 04/03 Cathlamet, WA

We wanted to extend a sincere thank you to everyone for the warm welcome we received at our first event. We enjoyed visiting with everyone and seeing what you have done with your C boats. We came away with lots of good ideas for when our boat arrives.

Thank you also, Helen O, for taking us out for a river cruise. We're looking forward to the next event we can join.

Don and Dee Gonser

This is a special thanks to Larry and Helen for making the Cathalmet outing such a good one. Thanks again for having me at your home and being such fine host and hostess. Larry "YOU BE THE MAN" for getting me onto that fine springer, and Mike thank you for the very good job of netting it for me.
It was good to be able to meet so many of the people I have been reading about on this site and some new ones that Came to the gettogether.

I sure am sorry I missed it.
I ordered a new axel and associated parts for my favorite boat support apparatus.
I'll make it to one of these with my boat this year.
Nice fish Lyle!

I also would like to express my appreciation to all those who made this weekend possible. Even with the bad weather and lousy fishing (Lyle's work excepted), it was a fun time to visit, eat and drink. The wine was great, the food was great (especially, as noted already, the PIE and Salmon). This was my 2nd C-brat event and I really enjoyed it.

Hi Ray,
What axle did you order ez loader or some thing else? What did they charge you for it, if you don't mind me asking. I am going to have to do the same thing seal surface is gone on mine.
Richard

I also to say what a great time Work Release and crew had at this gathering. Meet a lot of great people as always and the food and wine at the potluck couldn't have been better. Hope my Chile didn't ruin anybodies Saturday night. Thanks, to Larry for suppling the fresh fish. We didn't catch one but sure learned alot about this fishery from Lyle, Larry, and Mike. And to Lyle, congrats. on the nice 15 #'er you caught on Sunday. It was nice to put faces to the some of the postings on this site. Wish I hadn't forgot my camera at home thou. I am looking forward to the June sturgeon gathering.

They treated me pretty good. Oil bath hubs, new brakes, lines, hardware and the works except for my wheels and tires delivered to the Portland office for $450.00

I sure hope this lasts for a while. Those oil bath hubs sound like the shizzle.

I sure wanted to get to Cathlamete this year. It is one of my favorite outings.

I sure appreciate all the photos but wish there were more captions. Actually I wish I were taking pictures and meeting the fine folks there over some of that Stone Wolf wine!

Time to stop the hi jacking. Sorry that mr fisherman did not make it, but you did not miss anything in the fishing area. except for lyle. Nice fish!! .

We had to take the trailer down to my grandfathers in vancover on sunday and leave it there. Iam going to fish with my club (puget sound anglers) this coming weekend at the kalama marina. I figured why trailer up to marysville and back when i will be to busy working to use the boat this week. Well today they have no work for me so I am home and boatless.

If any one wants to join me this coming weekend let me know. I understand that the fishing in the kalama area this past weekend was better then the cathlamat area. Susan and I had a great time and can't wait to do it again. I learned that i have to start cooking while iam fishing and be back on time. seems that i missed most of the get together saturday while i was cooking at the boat. I hope to see you all again soon.

anybody notice that Larry waits untill everybody leaves before he starts digging the big ones out of the honey hole?

Wholly Springer Batman, that's one heck of a nice fish Larry. Congratulations and thanks for sharing it with us and thanks too for sharing your harbor and hospitality with us last week-end.

Tim

Larry,

Nice fish! :thup At present, I'm busy photoshopping my head onto you in that photo so I can better imagine what it would have been like to actually catch a fish down there.....:cry Keep us posted so that if things are picking up, I can come down and give it a try under more optimal conditions.
