04/30 - 05/02 - Lopez Island Opening Weekend

I am heading over solo from Guemes Friday mid-morning. I will have one of the pony kegs with me and Pat will have the other. I will go back to Guemes Sat. and pick up the elusive Kate (May 1 is her BD) for Sat night.

Two kegs of that fine tasting beer, Wow! Right on David and Pat.

Today I'll smoke up 25 salmon fillets (kings, silvers and humpies) for the event. For sure I'll cut back on the soy sauce, :smilep don't want that beer gone to fast. :teeth
Jon

Hum, maybe she'll give us our room for free too. Almost makes bringing the boat worth it but we're picking up a new trailer from Les and the old one is already sold down here. Getting home with two trailers is more than I can handle. Maybe boat will come next year.

Tim

Brock, April 1st is over. Are you kidding me, free at Lopez, for real? Now if I can slip 60 plus feet past the State ferry dude, I'll feel rich!

Did you say "Free"???

Wonder how long it would take me to get there from Virginia. Probably would overshadow the free stuff. Hope you guys have a great time!! We'll be doing a sun dance for you here on the right coast!! :P :P

Charlie

Yep, free. And that's a very nice price. Now Buster can have another new barrel of Goofy Loopy cat nip he's been chattering for.

Jon, Saturday's forecast is for 70 degrees, and I think all three days will be above 64. Not sure about wind, but it looks like another award winning C-Gig is on the way. Mike and Marty, with rain unlikely and nightime temperatures maybe in the high 40's, sure you won't reconsider?
:cat

Free is good, need some relief from the gas prices. Robbin will not be coming this weekend due to her work schedule so I will be bachen it. If anyone would like to hitch a ride this weekend let me know. I will be ling cod fishing on Saturday and Sunday.
I assume we will be doing dinner at the Lopez Resort restaurant on Friday night, it has become a tradition of sorts.
I think I will hold off on the Anita Marie's christening till Robbin is around, looks like that may not be till July at Blakely.

Fred

David, we'll be pulling out of Twin Bridges between 9:30 & 10 Friday morning--if your in the water give us a call on channel 16.

We will be heading out Saturday ,after I get in off my trip and hopefully get a little rest. Am putting in at Cornet,. Sorrry we will miss the Friday dinner with you all. But will see you Saturday. The folks at Lopez said we got the inside moorage all tied up, so hope fully we can squeeze in somewhere. Gotta go finish washing off the fishy stuff off the boat now.

Hey y'all! I hope everyone is doing great. 8) Hope to see ya soon. Get ready to jump in the big cold pool, cuz I'm comin to Lopez! :thup Only, not on the Comet. :cry It still isn't ready. Maybe we can catch a ride with someone when you go boating. See ya soon!
HP  :star :rainbow :rose :love :cat :dog

We novice boaters are trailering from Gig Harbor on Friday morning. Can't decide if we should launch at Skyline Marina, Flounder Bay or at Cap Sante Marine in Anacortes. Any advice or recommendation would be most welcome. Should be about noon when we are in that vicinity and will be looking out for other C-Dorys.

Bill, Skyline and Cap Sante are both sling launches. Cap Sante has secure patrolled parking but I believe the sling closes at 16:00. I am not sure about Skyline but the parking is a little more of an issue, Catman is the expert on Skyline. Washington Park is by the ferry launch. You may want to consider Cornet Bay. It is a state launch and I believe more than a few people are launching there. There is also a launch at Twin Bridges by the Casino just before you get to Anacortes on Highway 20. I believe DaveS has talked to the people who run Twin Bridges Marina about parking overnight there for $10.00.
I am sure others will pipe in.

Fred

My time is becoming more constrained so I am now looking at putting in at Coronet Bay. We will drive up Thursday evening via the Port Townsend Ferry and get the boat in the water that night if theres enough light. Looking at the Current Predictions for Deception Pass we will probably have to wait until around 8:00am Friday morning to break out and head north. Should be in Fisherman's Bay mid-afternoon. Is it true that they are not charging for mooage Friday and Saturday??
Hope to see everyone there. Play safe.

Doug/LIBERTY CALL

PS.
Pat, I'll bring my tools if you haven't installed the light yet.

Lois, Wade and Bunky,
We want to tag along with you. We will be leaving out of Cap Sante Friday morning. We will be looking for you when you come around the bend. It is going to be a beautiful weekend :D :hot
Talk to you soon.
Diane :lips

Wade, I will be ready to join you Friday morning. I will have the boat on a bouy in the bau in front of the house. You come out of the channel and straight into Cooks Cove on Guemes. Will be monitoring 16 and the C-brats channel 68. Any others in the area join us. Immacu-Nada??

Fred I am bringing my pole as is Pat. Never fished in salt wter before. Think I have the right stuff for Ling and would love some instruction.
