The bull just came charging past me this morning, so I took it by the horns.

Just spoke with Kathy at the Lopez Islander Resort and Marina. We are set for May 5 and 6. Plenty of room. Free moorage for that week-end.

Call Kathy at 360 468 2233 and tell her you are with the C-Dory group.

Need a Sign up sheet Mike/Bill. Thanks. (Hope to see both of you there also.

Well, alrighty then! Good going, David! I just called and made our reservation!

Thanks for setting up the gig. We always enjoy Lopez. Pat. like you, I have to plan out my vacation early in the year, so thanks for getting the ball rolling for the summer plans. :thup

Hi! I just registered because I saw this gathering developing at Lopez. I recently purchased property on Lopez and will be wanting to acquire a boat for cruising, fishing, etc. This won't happen for a couple of years, though, because I can't spend enough time there yet to justify a boat. However, I'm doing my research for a boat purchase now, and the C-Dory is high on my list. It happens that I will be on Lopez during the first few days in May, and I might be able to extend my stay to include May 5 & 6, and perhaps even the 7th (I'm currently scheduled to leave the island on the 5th, which won't do!). The reason I would do this is to meet you guys and to check out your boats. It sure would be great to catch a ride, too, because I haven't driven or ridden in a Dory yet. Anyway, I want to begin by introducing myself and to congratulate everyone on sustaining a great web site! - Jay Hohf

Jay, You are more than welcome to come on down or over or what-ever, from where you are on the island and visit any of us. Be happy, as most of us will be, to take you out for a cruise. We have had up to 20 boats there for opening week-end. All sizes. Same shape.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Okay guys and gals, we have a sign up sheet. Not that we need one, but Mike the Man gave us one so let's use it.

Lopez is a fun week-end. Now if we could just get Kathy to put one of Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Co.'s beers on.

So Pat, are you bringing the obligatory keg?? I may bring along a couple of cases of mixed bottles of our brew. I know there are some who drool about our Porter.

[Shameless advertising mode = ON] I will bring the keg...Catman gets to pick the flavor, if he is coming (I hope the keg will tempt him to show up). I guess we will just have to eat at the The Galley, on Fisherman's Bay Road, which according to the 1/30/06 buy report has Copperhead on tap, and of course we will all shop at the Lopez Village Red Apple, which has fresh stocks of Copperhead, Wildcat and Steam Train in 22 oz bottles...[Shameless advertising mode = OFF]

Geez Pat, that was pretty blatant. If it wasn't for the fact that Rande (our head brewer) makes such damn fine beer I would have to call you on that.

So, where is Catman Brock?

" I recently purchased property on Lopez "

Sound like you need a grounds keeper with a boat. I think I may know some one....

Ooh...the Lopezs weekend is also the first weekend of Hood Canal shrimping season which lasts for a total of four four-hour days, Saturday the 6th, the following Wednesday the 10th, Saturday the 13th and the following Wednesday the 17th, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm each day...Hope there are still some left on the 13th!!!! We had 160 of the tasty little guys from 2004 in the freezer and did not have a boat last year, so Patty will be fit to be tied if we don't get some this year...

David,
I also want to thank you for getting this going. I really enjoyed the last time I went to this gathering. I'll will bring a bushel of oysters and some tabasco to go with a cold brew. I think lingcod season is open then, so maybe some fresh fish could be on Saturday's menu.

We have six signed up so far. This has always been a fun week-end at the start of the official boating season. Although for a lot of C-Brats I know, it is always boating season. And there is no dock fee!

David et al,

Caryn and I would love to be back at Lopez with all of you. Unfortunately we won't be able to make it this year because we're attending my step daughter's graduation at WSU that weekend.

We're sorry to miss all the fun but we'll be seeing most of you at other gatherings this season.

We have 9 signed up so far AND the last to sign up was Bill and El.
Man, they get around a lot. Really looking forward to seeing them, as well as the rest of you of course.
