Anyone want a front hatch for a 22? The plexiglass was cracked when I bought the boat and C-Dory sent me the whole works which has been taking up room ever since I Used the glass out of it. If anyone wants it L=let me know and I will bring it to Friday harbor. Roger
Thanks for all the support regarding Arwen's First Communion. The C-Brats are both wise and fair. Apparently there's something important about experiencing it with all her little school chums and the priest who baptized her, though. 
After reading all the cool events scheduled (I love the book/gear swap idea!), I'm really REALLY bummed out that we won't make it.
But it looks like I'm going to visit Friday Harbor in another capacity a bit later in the year, and I thought I would pas that along in case any of our C-Brat friends were planning to be up that way on the Fourth of July:
I've returned to "active duty" with the Keith Highlanders Pipe Band, and we have a gig in Friday Harbor on the 4th. I plan to take the boat up, although getting a slip may be a challenge.

Laurie and I will certainly be at Friday Harbor . I don't know how I missed signing up at the beginning of the posts.... Senior moments.. We had this planned with days off from work back in January. Needless to say I will have my vestments and proper scripts for those wishing a C-Dory or other Christening. I even worked up a Communion just in case ,but it looks like I'm in the clear on that one(phew) , so I'll not bring it .

I suspect we're marching in the parade. But in July, we'll have our competition sets honed to near-perfections, so I think we should put on a little show to showcase the tunes we play that are NOT marches. We've got jigs, hornpipes, reels, and strathspeys. And Amazing Grace, of course.starcrafttom":1becw2oo said:

By the way, does anybody know why the drummers wear red, while the pipers wear black? It's a quiz. No Googling! It has to do with the early history of the modern "regimental" pipe band. Anyone?
