05/14 - 05/16 - Friday Harbor

We could put you in charge of getting the Snoqualmie Falls Brewing Co. keg there, but that job is taken already by Pat. MMMM.....No just get there. That's the most important.

Neil,

You could PM or e-mail me your names, boat name and home port for your name badges. Also include you boats trim color.

Looking forward to meeting you there!

I have a hand full of teak helm hubs I will have with me at FH. $15.00 and you will need a 3/16 allen to remove the old black plastic one.

I'll be the boat with the 4X8' flashing cabernet neon sign over the roof that alternates "Hubs/Here".

Dave, these would look REALLY REALLY great on a certain new Marinaut.
I know it. Only problem is, I upgraded the wheel from what the C-Dory has and I am afraid they will not fit. I may just have to go back to the C-Dory type of wheel just so I can have one of your hubs. I know it will be an option on the Marinaut. Those that like the C-Dory wheel can order it with one and one of your hubs.

It looks like our Tomcat is ready for a real test so we're going to try to come over to the gathering. The boat will be bare bones as far as accessories go but we should at least get a good trial of the factory systems. I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of C-Brats.

Can we claim one of the 2009 Waggoners?

Every new charter season at Anacortes Yacht Charters we replace the previous years Waggoner with a new edition on all the boats. I saved a bunch of 2009 editions which are probably newer than most have. I will have them on the boat at FH for anyone that wants one. I think I have 6 or 7 so far.

Quite the adventure! Our boat was the same last yr; we didn't even have curtains. It was STILL a fun weekend.

Since I am not going to SLC I may come over to FH via ferry. We will see how my recovery goes, whether I can (or have to) bring my antibiotic pump with me, etc.

David, save a Waggoners for me, too, please.

So yesterday Susan and I drove to Washington park and took Don and his wife out in their boat for the first time. We ran over to a island with a dock ( for got the name) at one of the state parks and practiced docking for a few hours. What a a great day. Warm and sunny and very little wind. Don and ( i forgot her name again sorry) are kayakers and have never owned a power boat before but they picked it up very quick and very nice people.

I bring this up here because Susan and i are trying to talk them into coming to Friday harbor next week. They are a little nervous about running out there by themselves and are looking for some one to follow. they will be leaving Washington park or twin bridges Friday night if they go. susan and I will not be on the water until late and getting in close to dark again, leave the dock light on of use please. So how is leaving when from where in the north end? maybe some one from bellingham , they could launch there too.

I don't see a signup for Friday Harbor. I hope to get up for either Fri or Sat night, depending on water conditions. Sure would be nice if we have conditions like this weekend.

Who can I notify?

Dave/Plan C

The signup is there. Go to the top of the page, Event Signups. Look under "non-member groups". If you look under the top one and you haven't signed up for any, you won't see anything.

Tom, Meredith and I are leaving out of Bellingham on Friday, probably mid-day since we both work on Thurs night. Don and his wife are welcome to accompany us if they like. Don't know if the time frame will work for them, but they can PM me or call my cell phone.

thanks mark. I will past that on to them. I also got a email that some are leaving from cornet bay about the same time. I hope to get them talked into coming. see you all there.

What's the Cornet Bay schedule? I'll probably head up from Seattle early Friday or even Thursday, and stop somewhere along the way.

In any case, I'd like to try to meet up with the Cornet Bay bunch.

Tim,
I just mentioned to Tom that we will be heading out of Cornet Bay to FH at about 1000Hrs on Friday, in the company of a Macgregor Sailboat, hence approx 10 Kts and if his friends wanted they could tag along with us.
We are just going to drop in to FH and say Hi to the gang then head on out to the Gulf Islands for a few3 days.
Anyone not allergic to overgrown CD's is welcome at any point.
Don't know of any large group leaving from Cornet Bay but we have done in the past.
Will be on the dock there Thurday night.
