05/16 - 05/19 - North Carolina Loop

I'm in for the loop. Where will most people put in? I will be coming from Charlotte, NC. I need to know a good place to leave my van and trailer.

Add Muse to the list.

We're a bit late jumping on, so I'm a tad unclear about reservations we have to make.

Looking forward to May!

I just wanted to write an update. Right now ,if all boats are going on the trip, We will have 12 boats. :D Right now I count :(3) 25 cruisers, (2) 16 cruisers, (1) 19 angler, (2) 23 ventures, (4) 22 cruisers. That is great. :D I would like to know how many boats need help. Like trailer storage and help with launching. :) On The Intercostal in Norfolk ,there is one place to launch. Portsmouth Va. city park. In Virginia Beach Va. Centerville Marina. Located by the Centerville swing bridge. They do have truck and trailer storage. I do not have their phone number at this time.. :) Thanks Neal Mitchell (757)353-2599

Neal,
Will you make reservations for everyone at Coinjock Marina and at Lamb's Marine, or do you want me to do it?
Best regards,

Skimmer will not be able to make this one, after all - had a family requirement come up. We will likely drive down to Eliz. City to see the arrival at Lamb's, take in the Potato Festival, and have dinner with the group.

Look forward to seeing everyone then.

I went to both marinas today. I made reservations for our group. Coinjock Marina Restaurant would like a head count. It would be for their planning. Please le me know soon :D Neal

Neal,
Thanks for setting up our mooring arraignments. Joan and I will be eating at the Coinjock Marina for out evening meal (will most likely eat lunch on the boat).

Almas Only,
Does this mean that because you are solo, the morning meals will be served by you?

Skimmer,
Sorry to hear that you won't make this deployment, but maybe w can play together between now and then.

Best regards,
Steve & Joan Baum

Neal... Mary and I would like to be included in the dinner reservation count for the restaurant at Coinjock Marina. Thanks.

Calling all C-Brats
Joan & I will be hosting a dinner at our home the night before we begin this trip. Also, a light breakfast will be provided the day of the trip. All C-Brats are welcome, even if you will not be able to make the voyage.
All C-Brats are welcome to moor at our dock and begin and end the trip from our dock in Portsmouth, VA.
If you plan to moor here and or leave your rig here, please give us a little advance notice and we will help you launch your boat at the local (free) ramp and transport you back to our home to store your rig.
Best regards,
Joan & Steve Baum

Steve: Please put me down for your generous launch/park service. I'll probably launch a couple of days early and anchor somewhere, and will check with you on that later.

Thanks again.

David

Steve, i would like to take you up on your kind offer of storage for my trailer. I look forward to the gathering.

"Sweet C". 16 cruiser

To all who are going on The Carolina Cruise. I am going to both marinas to confirm our reservations. The dates are 16 -19 May. Right now I have 15 boats, and 26 crew members. I am fudging the numbers a little for an extra boat and crew. I am looking forward to the cruise. My boat is ready. Thanks :thup :D Neal

To all C-Brats making the mini loop, or those that are in the area and can make it to the Baum's house/marina/diner,
We plan to have dinner for everyone that can make it. If you can confirm that you will be coming on the eve of the 15th, we would greatly appreciate it. Dinner time is planned for 5:30 PM.
Don't forget, that if you would like to put your boat in the water, tie up at our floating dock and store your tow rig at our house, we will aid you in the directions and transportation needed to get the rig from the ramp to our yard.
The event getting close, so hearing from you in advance is greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Joan & Steve Baum
