That was me Jim. No problem and use it how you wish. PM me an email address if you need one of two full size images I took of the group from up there.

Greg

Thanks, Greg. That size is just fine. I appreciate it - that shot really shows the crowd, the equipment, and my best side.

Best wishes,
Jim

The crowd was that far back because the equipment was working that far away, or because it would not work that far away? your choice.

All B.S. aside I really enjoyed your show. I, for one, have no musical ability at all and really marvel at those that do. Does not stop me from taking the cheap shot for my own amusement at times.

As long as you're having fun, Tom. BTW, I'm available for private parties, boat weddings, bar mitzvahs, and real estate sales open houses. 8)

Ah, Roger, if you haven't seen a best side before, well... aw, this is too easy.

And (to get back on-topic) where the heck were you while the Friday Harbor gathering was going on??

Barry,
Great show as always. Really enjoyed catching up with fellow brats and their boats and the new musical addition to the agenda was exceptional. Anything that can keep this group from descending upon the food the instant it appears has to be really captivating.

Staying over in Ganges for one more night so will certainly C-Ya at some point today.

On Sat., I was working on my "honey-do" list - weeding and yard work. On Sunday I was cleaning the inside of the boat and cleaning the garage. The outside of the boat is getting cleaned and detailed today by Seattle Mobile Marine as I'm simply running out of time to do everything and get my real job done too.

Man...so sorry I missed you all. I had such great plans, too.

While loading up the motorcycle to catch the PA/Victoria ferry Friday morning, I got an unexpected call which forced me to stay home. Tractor toys were on their way to the house - arrived several days early, and with a 2 hour notice instead of the promised 1-2 days. The truck was already on the way from Tacoma when the call came in, and I had to be here to lift the implement off the truck with my Kubota.

That forced me to miss the AM Port Angeles sailing, which made me miss the 12:05 Sydney/Friday Harbor sailing. Plans already in place for Sunday kept me from coming over Saturday and spending the night.

Excuses, excuses...but plans are being made for the next one. Actually, I probably can't do both La Conner and Comax, so I'll likely choose one or the other. Likely Comax, as there are more folks signed up and I've been to La Conner - but in any case, I'll try and have the espresso machine back in C-Brat service after a loooooong hiatus.

It was so great to see everyone again. Thank you Barry and Patty, it was a great event as usual.

We left Sunday and spent two days on Jones island with a nice visit with Tom and Susan Elliot (and Shadow). Then on to Sucia where we are now for day two in Fossil Bay. Tomorrow on to Stuart Island for a day or two before heading north into Canada, eh?

Best wishes and following seas to all.

It was fun to see everybody! We had a great time. Thanks Barry and Patty for all the work you did and a great gathering. It was great to spend some time with you. We always say it is the people that make the gatherings so much fun and we enjoyed seeing all of you! See you soon.

Great job putting this together Patti and Barry. We had a great time, met lots of new C Brats, got to know old brats better, ate well & etc

On our way home we visited some other islands meeting other brats doing the same thing. Finally it was time to go home so we headed to Bellingham for our truck and trailer. Just as we cleared Peavine Pass the impeller on the outboard quit and left us drifting near the near by reef. So we resorted to the trolling motor. The steering connection between the two motors leaves something to be desired, so after a bit I have up and had to steer by hand sitting in the stern. The 20 miles or so to B'ham took 5 hrs in some great tides and at times was a bit exciting, especially in a tidal rip along the southwestern tip of Lummi Island. I bet we more than doubled the number of hours on the kicker. Very glad to have it.

All in all, it was a great week. Thanks again Patti and Barry for making it happen.

Our second Friday Harbor gathering was even more fun than last year's - nice to renew friendships with folks, and get to meet new Brats too. Many thanks to Barry and Patti for putting on such a well-organized and interesting event. A special thanks to Barry for taking the time to review safety equipment and procedures with us.
Our first "sea" adventure of the season has us smiling :smile and looking forward to more - Comox we hope...!

I posted some photos, due to large file size, I over compressed the photos. If anyone wants a full file size, I will mail it, or can send by e-mail a moderate size file suitable for printing.
