I may have missed an anouncment, but is there going to be a get together this year on the Chesapeake Bay? The gathering at Langford Bay sounded like it was well attended and everyone had a great time. If someone is planning a gathering I offer my help. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and I am retired. My wife keeps me somewhat busy fixing up our house, however I do have some time available for boating activities.

We are a little behind on the plan, but we are having the gathering. The weekend is a bit later...June 8-10..at Langford Bay Marina again..year three..This year the marina is giving us the use of the pavilion, free...so we won't have to worry about rain or walking through..dog...

We will post event here asap.

Tom, my dog Andy, resents that comment... :dog :dog He whined during your music too.... I loved it!! :love

That, having been said, I will be doing the attendance list for the gathering this year, you can expect me to be pestering the past attendees and publishing lists periodically. We are permanantly down at our River Place now on the Potomac near the Bay. My youngest Daughter is getting married that weekend and I may not be able to make the gathering but I will certainly do the list and the name tags as usual...

Nerds, please put the attendance list up for us all to use!

Added to the Calendar and Signup listed created. You guys going to record the music this year for us less fortunates out west?

Please add C-Song to the list.
This year I hope to make it all the way to Lankfod Bay. Hey! That sounds like a song title.

Looking forward to meeting all of the Chesapeake area C-Dory owners and seeing the various modifications others have made to their boats.

My wife and I had a great time last year and are looking foward to this years gathering, hopefully the weather will be a bit nicer. I misplaced the name and phone # of the Marina we stayed at, would someone be kind enough to post so I can get our reservation called in. Thank you and see ya in June!

Count us (me & Nanci & dog) in for this years gathering. We weren't to make it last year, but had a great time in '04.
I've had about enough of winter and trip planning sure helps to pass the time till liquid water shows again.

Judie and I will put it on the calendar and hope to join you all in "Passages". We chickened out halfway there due to weather last year. Hopefully, things will be better this year in the weather department.
Our friends, Gary and Mary Palsgrove have replaced their CD 25 that was destroyed in "Ernesto". Both of our boats will be busy again this year with the Coast Gd Auxiliary here on the Lower Potomac and Middle Rappahannock Rivers.
Cheers to all., wayne and judie

This is Terraplane..I've been out of touch due to a few health glitches and overload at my place, The Mainstay.

We are on for the gathering at our regular place on Langford Bay..

We'd love to have suggestions from past attendees on what to keep and what to change.

Hoping that we will have Red Hots this year. (hint).

Great to see you back Tom, hope you're OK. Glitches don't sound like fun! I will do the attendance list and nametags as last year. Not sure if we can make it though, our youngest daughter is getting married about that time, may be that weekend! That'll be a tough choice as to which one to attend but I think my bride will decide for me.

For all, please sign up on the attendance list. I'll confirm by e-mail or PM as the time approaches and start posting the list as soon as we get 15-20 or so on the list. If you've attended before (2005/2006), I'll have all your boat information, will need to update the perishable stuff tho (arrival date, nights staying, etc).

Well, we plan on representing Florida again this year, however we won't be dragging "The Fran Sea" up for it :cry , however, better yet, we'll have the REAL Francie in person :love ! We plan on going on to visit friends and relatives in New York after the gathering. I've requested reservations at the Swan Haven B&B for Friday nite June 8 and Saturday nite June 9th.

Hope someone will be kind enough to give us a ride.

& yes, we'll want T shirts if they're going to be available

We would like to come to this gathering in June. Does everyone stay at the Marina or some anchor out near it?
This would be out first with the C-Dory, if we stay at the Marina do we need to call now to get a slip?

Pandy Girl,

This will be the third year for this Gathering and I believe that only one boat has anchored out in that time. There is a place near the marina where you can anchor, but it makes it harder for others to see your boat and might make the socializing a bit harder.

Last year we had thirty-something boats there and they could just barely get us all in. A few days before there was a group of LARGE cruisers there. It's a very popular marina that fills up pretty fast.

If you have the time, consider coming a few days early and maybe staying a few days after for the impromptu cruises that come together.

It's a great time! Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Pandy Girl, you should stay at the marina. Never too early to make reservations. Phone number is earlier in this thread. Directions/etc will be forthcoming as time gets closer.

Thanks for the Info. I have just been told that is the same weekend of a Beach Music Festival we attend in Stuart Va.
So we are going to do some talking with others we attend with, it is a 2 day event.
Really would like to join all for this, I know we would have a great time. Will get back soon.

There is going to be a planning meeting on Saturday, March 17th at the MainStay in Rock Hall, MD. at 11:00AM. If anyone has any input, suggestions or ideas for this years gathering, please let us know by sending an e-mail to us or just posting a reply on this thread.
Looking forward to seeing everyone (maybe some new ones) in June.
Make sure to sign up soon.

Penny and I plan to attend the Gathering.

Several people have suggested that I offer to show the slide show of out trip to Alaska last summer. Details can be found at:

If desired, and if there is electricity and place to set up a screen out of the wind, I'd be pleased to do so. I have the needed equipment.
