08/19 - 08/21 - Bellingham is Back II!

Bump!

It is pretty important that you sign up on the Event Signup Page if you are planning to come, and if you sign up but realize you can't come, to let us know as soon as possible! The reason for this is that we purchase food (pizza for Friday night, eggs, sweet rolls and juice for Sunday morning) based on the number of signups! If you sign up but don't show up (as more than few did last year), we end up spending money and having left over food!

We are not planning to make name tags for everyone this year, so if you want or need a new name tag, please PM us so we can make you name tags!

Looking forward to a great Bellingham gathering again!

OK, I have confirmed we will have a C-Dory factory tour on Saturday, August 20, at 10 a.m. PLEASE let me know if you will be going on the factory tour, as I want to let them know approximately how many people will be coming! Also, please let me know if you will have a vehicle and could possible help with transportation, since the factory is too far to walk! The factory tour was a real highlight last year, with Ron Wright and Greg Little as our guides!

One of us at least will do the factory tour.

After the gathering Two Bears will be headed north thru Canadian Customs at South Pender Island & then north thru the Gulf Islands towards Desolation Sound for the final weeks of August. Anyone else headed that way?

Chuck

We will be down there barring any disasters. Don't know if we will make it by Friday. Just can't make up time anymore! We will be cruising around with Dan and Tanya for a while after the get together so I hope to see some of our old c-brat friends while in the Puget sound and San juan area.

We're headed North now for our first cruising in the PN. Left home Wednesday afternoon and as of late today have stopped for a day of R&R in Richland, WA, which we've never been to before. Beautiful view of the Columbia River. Once in Bellingham in a couple of more days we plan to stock the boat and then do some cruising in the San Juans, and maybe visit Anacortes and/or La Conner - or we may do those after the gathering (love being retired with no meaningful time schedule). We are really looking forward to the Bellingham gathering. Thanks for coordinating this Pat!

Hey, I'll volunteer to bring the quiz questions this year if you like. I've been practicing... How many number one hits did the Beatles have from '63 to '70?

Catman Brock will be doing the Saturday evening Trivia Quiz, but it looks like we will be playing strictly for pride, unless some people can volunteer to contribute prizes - we gave away all our excess C-Dory stuff last year! Let us know if you can kick in some little prize for the quiz!

Right now there are 21 boats on my roster, which is a great size for P Dock. We also have four people who have volunteered to drive for the Saturday 10 a.m. factory tour, so we have transportation covered!

We are looking for three tables we can use for the Saturday potluck and the Sunday breakfast. We have one but we won't have Ruth and Joe's tables this year, so we definitely need more! Let us know if you have a table we can use, and thanks!

Right now, I only have one request for a name tag, and in a few days it will be too late, since we are head out cruising! So this is last call for name tags!

We can bring two small but tall folding tables that measure 2x4ft combined. We are on the east coast now but looking forward to launching Ari soon near Twin Bridges on the 19th.

PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT INFORMATON!

Later today or tomorrow, I will post the tentative schedule and map of Squalicum Harbor for B'ham is Back II!

We will be headed out cruising tomorrow, but I will be checking C-Brats whenever I have an internet connection, which should be most of the time, so I will respond to any posts.

Call-in channel that we will monitor on the dock is channel 68. We ask that people on the dock help all incoming boats get docked and tied up! Please check in with Pat or Patty to get your schedule, list of attendees and the all-important gate and restroom codes!

We still need people to bring tables for the Friday pizza fest, the Saturday potluck and the Sunday morning omelette extravaganza! Please bring a folding table if you can, and let me know.

Per usual CBGT protocol, the potluck will be Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Everyone should bring a dish to share! We will be serving off the ground if we don't round up a few more tables!

Following the potluck and trivia quiz, Rev. Pat (me) will be performing boat de-naming and/or christenings! Let me know if you would like a de-naming or christening ceremony. Bring your own sprig of greenery for the bow for christenings and libations to pour over the bow!

OUT FOR NOW!

A printed copy of the schedule will be handed out when you arrive!

We're in KTN now will try to make it. Sunday looks like a good day to cross Dixon East. Tuesday Queens Charlotte Straight then it depends on weather to get down Straight of Georgia. We will keep our fingers crossed and try to attend. We've been on Reefmadness since 5-7 and have had a great summer. If we can make it to the gathering that will be icing on the cake. Hope to see you all Friday or Saturday.

Please add me (and probably my wife) to the number of those going on the factory tour Saturday morning. We aren't really C-Brats, as we haven't bought one (yet?), but we're certainly interested. Kevin Ware has offered to give us a ride on his TomCat, so we'll be there much of the day Saturday.
Thanks,
John Thomas
