08/22 - 08/24 - Victoria BC Gathering

Sadly we will be in Colorado then; otherwise we'd be there. Victoria is one of our favorite places. If you are thinking about making it Patti and I urge you to go. You will have a great time.
 
Alrighty then got 'er done.... we secured our moorage. called this morning and spoke to Thora, she was very nice. thanx Susan.

We need a sign up sheet... I emailed some one but still don't have a sign up sheet?? Must be off riding, boating, fishing etc...

I thought this pdf link to a nautical distance chart may come in handy for those continuing up into the Gulf Islands from the Victoria gathering. I keep the pdf in my ipads ibook for quick reference on how much fuel I may need. Hope to make it down to Vic from Maplebay for the day.

Made our reservations with Thora today for Friday and Saturday nights. Planning on cruising some before and/or after, in the Strait or Gulf Islands. Like to know others' plans for possible rendezvous!

Stacy and I have decided to take the plunge and make Victoria our first gathering. Reservations have been made. We happened to be at Cathlamet over the Memorial Day weekend and the harbor master said the C-Brats were a "quite bunch" so we figure we might just fit in :)

We'll be driving up from Portland on the 21st and will stay in Cap Sante that night. We've been in the San Juan's once before but have never crossed into Canada so we'd be happy to tag along with anyone heading over on the 22nd.

Warren, Hey there, Liz and I are going to Victoria and we may do a little cruising thru the islands before going into Victoria. If interested in getting together let us know.
 
August 25th dates work better for us. We have had a boat there before, and found there is a certain 'panache' staying in front of the Empress. Would favor that slip location. The cost at $1.80/foot is actually not that bad given where it is.

C-Change is planning on being there as well. I'll call tomorrow and make reservations for Fri and Sat. Victoria is one of our favorite stops.

From Another post that should help us all.

Wild Blue and crew chugged into Victoria today. The Customs dock used to be by the floatplane dock. Not any more. The new Customs dock is before you get to the Inner Harbour, near the floating homes. Look for the dock with the yellow caps on the posts. Nice new dock, just off the yellow markers on the way in.

Just making sure the dates remain August 22-24 at the Causeway Marina.
We have made an online request for moorage at the Marina but haven't yet got a reply. If there is a page on this site for registration, I cant seem to navigate to it.
