09/01 - ?? - Grand Slam of Great Western Lakes

What a great time thanks to everyone for making it so. I've got a lot of pictures to sort thru. I'll post some of the great ones. If you would like me to send a DVD to you PM me an address and i'll send you one of all the pictures. I'm going to have to make time to go again.

We've moved down to Teton and have great time here. Expect to spend one more night here and then to the Gorge. Spot seems to be working well and you can track us on the link. Having a great time and looking forward to seeing more brats along the way

Posted pictures of the Yellowstone Gathering, some Lake Yellowstone geology, and Yellowstone ashore on our website. If you dcare to cruise a litlle (vicariously) or in memory for those who were there, click www.geocities.com/bill_fiero and click on 2008 then click on the Yellowstone links. Great Time. Now in Teton NP with the Grand Slam.

There were four C-Dorys cruising on Flaming Gorge the early part of this week -- wonderful cruise through an amazing series of Canyons. Now the gang is heading (we're already there) down to Lake Powell for the fourth lake of the Slam.

We sure encourage others to visit these lakes when you have the time -- some mighty fine cruising!! Travel on Yellowstone's hot spot, under the shadow of the Tetons (one of the most impressive mountain ranges in N. America), through Maj. Powell's Flaming Gorge, and now on one of the most incredible canyonland's boating locations on Earth!!

El and Bill

What a wonderful tale it is that you have created. Ole "Gabe" Bridger would have been silenced in awe.

Of all your write ups and they are so much more then just write ups the Yellowstone and Teton combination are especially meaningful to us and not just because we were there to share some of it with you and the rest of the group though it was a wonderful time and not even that its so close to our present home and a place we love and often enjoy though all of that is true too. Its your unique and special way of explaining its origins and showing its present beauty and our small but magical place in it.

Jo-Lee and I arrived home yesterday from another week shared together in this special place. Some days out at anchor, a night cruise around Stevenson Island with a full moon, a visit to Yellowstone Lake visitor center where we studied the underwater map of the lake and sat in front of the beautiful wilderness styled building viewing the lake and visiting Lamar Valley where we saw 13 wolves 11 of which were going up a ridge above Slough Creek in single file.

Would love to share days and experiences with you two again next summer in this fabulous area.

With special regards,

Jay & Jo-Lee
