We've been putting this off long enough! Unless there is mass dissent,
The Sequim Bay CBGT will be Sept 9-11.

On edit by Da Nag - Signup sheet added

Armstrong Marine, maker of fine aluminum boats, mostly Catamarans, has offered a factory tour to the C-Brats. The fine print is that it must be during their normal working hours, Monday-Friday. So, for those who can arrive at the State Park Dock in Sequim Bay by about noon Friday, we can arrange transportation to the factory. http://www.armstrongmarine.com/

We are working on getting the Sequim Bay Yacht Club room for our Pot Luck Saturday night. Hopefully Barry on C-Cakes can be bribed with some Guiness to do his weather dance for us!

Check for a sign up sheet soon. More info on this thread as plans develop.

Better get Barry on something stronger  , for the last 2 meets we had Thunder and lightning to terminate the potluck.

Wait a minnut! Wait a minnut! Nobody said anything about needing good weather after we finished eating! Sheesh. Guess I'll have to work extra hard by remote because we'll be at the Guttenberg Iowa gathering Sep 9-11 and will have to miss the Sequim gathering. Sorry!

Barry,

That's OK. They need the rain in Iowa :D

Sorry you will not be there though. We are going to try to make it but our Club has an outing the same day.

That weekend should find us at about 51 degrees north enjoying hopefully better weather than you guys had earlier this summer. We will have to miss this year. Have fun all of you who attend and get some pics of the factory tour to post.

Greg

Glad to see that this get together will be happening this year. We will sign up once it is posted in the event sign up section. We hope to arrive a few days early and possibly head up to Canada for a short cruise if anyone else is going to be in the area early let us know.

Roger and Janet thank you for organizing this event, it will be our first visit to Sequim with the boat.

Hi Roger would love to make it but will be further south by then. I'm starting my walkabout Aug 29 via Coho ferry to Port Angeles, so will probably be out front of your house by mid afternoon! Plan to visit with you guys and Harvey and then move on down the 101 to Oregon and then Reno and then on to Lake Powell. Will put in my order for good weather for you all, after the moist time in the Broughtons.
George

Roger,

Thanks for getting this ball rolling. I will be glad to help out here however I can. Wonder if we can finagel the Monarch III for a harbor cruise, or a door prize. Oh Sorry, I am drooling again, but those Armstrongs just do that to me.

Sequim Bay Park has been pretty empty this season. Time to change that. Sure can help with local transportation and some attendance prizes.

Hope to see everybody there.

Thanks Harvey,

Lowest tide will be about .5' low at 8:37 am Friday. Lots of water at the dock with those numbers.

We always appreciate all the help we can get.

Roger

The Sequim Bay Yacht Club has again generously agreed to host our Saturday night Pot-Luck.

We've got 5 sign-ups and a couple of may-be's so far.
How many are interested in the Armstrong boat factory tour?

Roger

If I'm reading the regs correctly, help me out here StarcraftTom, Spot Prawns are in season during the Sequim Bay CBGT. Folks regularly catch enough to support a business outside Sequim Bay (Hull Family Shrimp). Another reason to sign up now for this fun event.

See you all there,
Roger

area 6 is open for spot prawns until sept 15 or they close the season, which has not happened very often.

we will try to be there as we do every year, but we never make it because of weather every year. I want to go so with rain drop berry headed south we have a chance.

I have to work Friday evening but we'll be there Saturday. We're up for a tour of Armstrong...love those boats and they are only a mile from our house.

Rick

Thanks Rick,

Are any other Brats interested in the factory tour?

Joe and Ruth made a special trip to Sequim Tuesday to deliver the C-Brat swag and supplies. Looks like we can host a pretty nice Friday night dinner near the dock

Lots of dock space left at Sequim Bay State Park.

After our enjoyable visit with you and Janet, we continued west out to Freshwater Bay and visited with Bill (DA NAG) for a bit. So good seeing him again, too! Arrived back in Port Townsend to catch the 3:45 ferry for Coupeville. Almost didn't make it....we were on the aft end of the SALISH. Sorry that we'll miss the Sequim CBGT this year. Maybe next year?
