OF THE SANTA BARBARA CHANNEL
When it comes to fresh seafood, you can’t get it any fresher than right off the boat. On October 11, 2008, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Santa Barbara Harbor & Seafood Festival lures seafood lovers of all ages to Santa Barbara’s thriving Harbor for one of the community’s most beloved and flavorful events.
Since 2002, the annual Harbor and Seafood Festival has become Santa Barbara’s signature autumn event. It brings people together for a day full of fun and good memories.
Since 2002 the local C-Dory Owners have cruised up from Channel Islands Harbor to Santa Barbara the day before and returned the day after the party.

This year is no different--- we will be departing CIH Friday morning to Santa Barbara, where we will spend two nights and return to CIH Sunday.
We will have a BBQ at Anacapa Yacht Club after the cruise.

Get ready to PARTY :beer :beer :cocktail :cocktail

I hope to be able to get out to Painted cave this year-- last year I did not feel that "Fishtales" would make it-- the hull was starting to come apart.
Can you believe it's been 7 months, and a lot of broken promises, with no boat.

Roger

We are moving back to California after living on the east coast for a couple of years. I went to college in Santa Barbara and love visiting the area. We will try to make it but it is probably too far out to know for sure.

H Roger,

I am so sorry to hear about you not having your boat that you were promissed yet. Have you gone to the factory to actually see your boat, do you have a SN? A SN and a boat with your SN on it is what I would want to see with my own eyes. There is nothing worse then broken promises.

I looked at the picture of the building on the link. Looks amazing. I haven't been back to the campus there in about 5 years. I know that there has been a lot of new construction recently.

We will definitely try to make it. I will get an idea for what long distance towing is like when we travel accross the country.

We're in the process of getting the house on the market so we can RETIRE -- IF we can get it sold in time, this event would be great fun for us -- Steve was born and raised in Oxnard and can hardly wait to get us on the water in his 'neck of the woods.' I'm penciling it in for a possibility

We will need to have every one sign up and PM me your mailing address. Those of you that attended last year and changed you address- I need the new address. I will be talkng with the Harbor Master and getting a packet for the slip reservations. I will send you the reservation card and you will need to fill out the info and send it back to me with a check (made out to me) for the amount. I have to pay for the slips with one check.

I will send the cards out around the first of September, I need to turn them in to the Harbor Master and make the reservations by September 26.

We still have plenty of time for those of you that are "penciling it in " to sharpen the pencil later.

edit- Could we get a sign up list?

Thanks
Roger

Hi Roger,

We just picked up our new Venture 23 last week. :D She is called the Marcia Jane and JUST fits in our barn. Please put us down for the Seafood Cruise and hopefully, it will include a cruise to Painted Cave.

We look forward to meeting more C-brats and seeing your new boat.

Thanks for all you do in organizing this event!

Kent and Marcia

P.S. I'll PM my address.

We now have 7 boats that will be attending and a couple of possibles.
I know there are others that will be signing up as it gets closer.

Even with the current trouble with the factory, I will continue to promote the boat and host this annual cruise. We love the boat and thoroughly enjoy the fellowship of other C-Dory owners.

Roger
