10/10 - 10/12 - 6th Annual Santa Barbara Seafood Cruise

I have sent out the information packet and reservation cards to the following:

Chris Sibel
Jeff Lastofka
Jeff Lovat
Joel Rapose
Kent McClish
Ron Dreher
Ron Niner
Roy Zimmerman
Scott Dritzman
Steve Swansberg

I have included a self addressed, stamped envelope so you can fill out the reservation card, sign it and mail it, with a check, back to me. Please make the check out to me, as I have to pay for all reservations with one check.
When I recieve all of the cards and fees, I will make the reservations with the Harbor for our mooring slips.

The mooring fees are still $.60 per foot per day.

If you are staying for one night, please indicate this and send funds for one night.

Bring your gate key cards with you and have them activated when you arrive. If you don't have a key card, you can purchase one for $7.00 upon arrival. This is a one time non-refundable charge. These cards are yours to keep and can be reactivated whenever you are in the harbor.
You will need a card to access the marina gates and showers.

In the event that a cancellation is necessary after payment has been made, a credit will be given to the vessel toward a future visit. No refunds will be made. If cancellation is made less than three days before the scheduled arrival date, no credit will be given.

See ya soon,

Roger King

After breakfast, we will continue our cruise up to Santa Barbara.
Upon arrival to Santa Barbara Harbor we need to check in by radio (channel 12) with the Harbor Patrol for our slip assignments.
The afternoon can be spent relaxing and exploring the the Santa Barbara waterfront. Dinner will be at The Endless Summer (again)
Saturday breakfast at the Waterfront Cafe and the festivities begin, enjoy Santa Barbara.
Dinner will be pupus on the dock (everyone bring something to contribute)
Sunday will be breakfast at the Waterfront Cafe before departing for Channel Islands Harbor.
Once again, after everyone arrives back to Channel Islands Harbor and has trailered and rinsed their boats- you are welcome to come join PJ and myself at the Anacapa Yacht Club for our annual end of cruise dinner.

Roger,

Due to uncertainty on my part, I will have to say cancel my slot.

Thanks,
Jeff

p.s. wish me luck...off to Cat for lobster this week-end

Jeff-

Good luck on the bugs.

Sorry you won't make it to SB this year.

Sadie is at the trainers in Phalen, will be there for 2 - 3 months.
She did great on the chukar Saturday, for not having been trained other than obedience.
For about the first 5 minutes she was just playing around, then she picked up the scent and her whole body changed. It was like something clicked in her brain and she realized this was what she was supposed to do. She pointed 2 birds in the next few minutes.
The trainer said,"yep, she's ready"

We'll be heading over that way the first weekend of Nov. and every couple weeks until I pick her up around Christmas. May come over for chukar and/or quail a couple times in Jan.

Roger

Jeff, C-Pelican, and Keith, C-Pup- sorry you won't be able to join us this year. If you decide to cruise, you can check in with the Harbor Patrol when we arrive in Santa Barbara for any available slip.

Adam (Rosie)-
You are welcome to join us on the cruise.
I tried to contact you concerning the reservations, but did not hear back in time to add you to the list.
I am sure you will be able to obtain a slip when we arrive in Santa Barbara. I cannot guarantee that you will be on the same dock as the rest of the group, but you will be able to join us for the dock party.

William (Tugly)?-
Sorry that you won't be able to join us on the cruise--- but-- hey, Earl Warren is not that far away. If you find time between the equestrian events, please come and join us for the dock party Saturday evening.

Roger

A change in plans---

Due to the start of the commercial lobster season in our area, we are getting an influx of fishing vessels from other areas.
There will not be space at the docks for us to stop in Ventura Harbor for breakfast.
We will need to eat breakfast prior to leaving Channel Islands Harbor.

Let's hear from the group---

1)- Would you rather leave as scheduled at 0800 and wait until arrival in Santa Barbara to eat

or

2)- Eat breakfast and leave Channel Islands Harbor at 0930

Remember- check in time for Santa Barbara is 1200 and the travel time is 2 hours. I will check with Santa Barbara to see if there would be a chance of checking in early. Personally, I would rather leave early and beat the winds that tend to come up around 1000.

Cheers,
Roger

How about we leave CIH at 0900 (minimize fog) and have brunch in SB?

 what?!
Mikey wants a late start :?: :?:
Is this the same Sealife thats always wants to leave Catalina at 0600?

We could do the "continental breakfast" potluck style, leave a little later, kick back, enjoy ourselves and throw any itinerary to the wind. I'm up for anything as kicking back fits in somewhere.

hhmmm
Continental breakfast-- potluck style

Who wants to bring the orange juice?, the bagels?, lox?
I'll have coffee ready at the Anacapa Yacht Club.
We'll have a potluck breakfast and leave the harbor at 0900.
We can tie up at the dock in front of the club (may have to side-tie a couple)

Roger

I can bring some extra smoked salmon. I was bringing some for the pot luck on the 11th anyway. If you want me to bring something else, just let me know.
