10/23-10/25 - 4th Annual Gulf Coast Gathering

Marc - For those Brats that may be interested:

I am bringing some things I have made and modifications to my C-Dory that I think others would like to see how they are done. Maybe not the best or not the only way, but some ideas.

Ultimate Generator Platform (see post) and the Honda 2000i generator with electrical cables.

Stainless steel dock ladder for boarding at low tide with a high dock.

Rear view mirror.

TV cable installation.

Privacy curtains.

Anchor locker access door (rotate 180 degrees).

Marc,
We have plans to be at the gathering this month and will be staying thru the Seafood Festival if the gods allow. Staying onboard at Waterstreet for most of the trip. Hope to meet up with you and Anita while in town. Pls say hello to Jeff and Alan at Weifings for me.

Mr Byrdman,
You are givimg me whiplash with your whirlwind agenda but it all sounds like great fun if you can survive it. I plan to keep the hottub out of reach of (your) prying eyes but I am counting on you to bring your 3HP, 2 stroke chain saw driven Margarita maker to the Appalachicola gathering. We will be REAL dissapointed if you do not show up.

We are getting excited about seeing all the attending Brats and to overdose on the fantastic seafood at this venue.

A bit late getting to the sign-up sheet, as I am in most things. Patty and I are looking forward to meeting up with everyone again this year. A spot in John's Marina would be our first choice for staying close to the action, i.e. where I can get to the food even when I shouldn't be driving the boat. But we're also good with a slip at Water Street if John's dock space is full. Does anyone know if it's likely we can get one without a reservation?

Wish we could be there - looks like we will be coming down the last week in February for a week. I'm sure it will be a great time for all. Maybe we'll be able to come down next year :-)

Best - Peter & Linda

I sent this email out as a "pm" to everyone that has signed up for this years Gulf Coast Gathering. I hope everyone participates and joins in on the fun.

Here's the pm:

Hello Fellow C-Brat,

Nancy(Ashley Lynn) and Shirley(Time Bandit), with enough participants, are having a Bingo game Saturday evening--after the movie.

If you are interested in participating...here's the concept.

$15 per person to play
$10 is for a gift you bring with you(a gift that you would like to win)
$ 5 is for the jackpot (last game--a coverall).

We play bingo for 1 hour and win gifts. At the end of the hour whatever gifts you have, you win.

However, during the hour of playing bingo, when you win bingo you can pick a gift from the pile or steal a gift from someone who has already won.(in order to steal a gift already won, you must guess EXACTLY what the gift is--not who has it).

The jackpot is a coverall, Whoever covers their card first wins the jackpot. So, the more people that play, the higher the jackpot.

This rendition of Bingo is a lot of fun.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call me.

Sincerely,

Nancy Klugh

Hello Nancy and Shirley,
Thanks for the informaton on the Bingo Game.

Judy and I will be looking foward to joining in on the fun.

Got one question for you;

Am I to assume that all gifts should be wraped in a plan brown , nondiscript way so as not to give away their contents..?? or do you want a bow on them. :wink

We're down for Bingo.
Also, all you early worms, we'll be at Water Street from Monday, 19 October. We'll be cruising to Port St. Joe, St, Joseph's Bay, Carrabelle, Apalachicola Bay & elsewhere. If you see us come join us.

Looking forward to a great gathering, Jim

We always wait to see what the weather gods bring us for the week end and what cruised directors John and Sherry want to do . We will know more next week . If includes bouncy water Jim, you are welcome to use my 22' CC ! The Riverkeepers will be having one of their "paddles" on Sat. as well from Abercrombie Landing to Acorn Lake from 9-2. :cry :cry :cry
Well... Will spend a bit more time in Oak Harbor tonight...but, do not see myself, Roger (SENSEI) & Terry (LAST DANCE) and Jeff (C-Pearl..if he flies out for the road trip home....) making this years gig at John and Sherrie's wonderful home. Please pass on to them my Thanks for opening up their home, yard, and slips for our C-Brat boating travelers.
Marc, the shrimp look great...and you know I was looking forward to some of the Oysters too...as I had been thinking about them when traveling down the eastern ICW of late.. But... more to be done here than has been done.....to ready this boat for a cross country trip.

I have not given up....but, I have to be realistic...that right now, I am just over 3,000 miles away... and still have things to do here....so... Yall have many a laugh, share many great boating stories, eat plenty of great food... and never take your health and today for grant it.... tommorow it may all be different.
