17th Annual Catalina Offshore Adventure

The 17th Annual Catalina Off-Shore Adventure would normally be scheduled from Sunday, July 29, 2018 to Saturday, August 4, 2018. Unfortunately, Kath & I will not be able to lead and attend the event this year due to other commitments and the fact that we are dedicating the month of September 2018 to the Nashville Skyline Cumberland and Tennessee Rivers Cruise.

We hope someone who has attended this Catalina event before can pick up the ball and lead it for 2018. Please see last year for details on this trip. Or you are free to plan this trip anyway you desire.

We plan to return to this event in 2019, assuming we are able. We know that John & Robbin (Dinner Belle) still want to attend this year’s 2018 Catalina event.

Someone please step forward and carry on leadership for the Catalina Offshore Adventure tradition. This is a great venue that is unique.

Please indicate 2018 attendance on this thread. All C-Cory’s are invited.

Well dang it all-- Catalina has always been a super fun week-- but it looks like we'll have to pass again this year due to taking time off for pending eye surgery.

Ya'll have fun now , ya hear!

Unless something unseen comes about Vega and Far C'r will be there. Will miss you Pounder! We live in the area so if anyone needs any local info let me know.

We will probably arrive on Aug 1st for the meetup and stay a couple of days, is there anyone else going to be there?

Would be great to visit, will miss Jim!

We've made this trip 5 or 6 times and it's a fun one. This year we are spending the balance of July through August and into the middle of September in Alaska in the new motor home. Maybe next year when Jim and Kathy return we'll get to Catalina again..

John and Robbin know the ropes at Catalina, why don't they act as the leaders?

I wish I could lead it, but this particular year I'm on a hi-pri Gov't project at work, my schedule really isn't my own. A month ago I was scheduled for another 1 week trip starting 23 July, I knew it was a soft date. Last week changed to 30 July. Next week...who knows. I'd hate to lead an event and not show. If I'm available, I'll join others that might be there.

It's a great venue to unwind and forget about the pressures of daily life. Your major decision of the day is whether to swim/hike before or after breakfast/lunch.
