Spent the day with Sue in the hospital...she is feeling better...but after her heart surgery they are afraid to do surgery this soon..so they want to wait for 3 to 6 months at least...they gave her a really tight fat free diet to follow and told her one fatty meal can bring all the pain back and require emergency surgery....(at very high risk)

We still are planning on going to the Delta...but must to remember.

DO NOT FEED SUE !

Joel, I’m extremely glad to see Sue is doing better. There’s not a lot of things worse than seeing one you care deeply for in great pain, that can’t be relieved for an extended period.

Jay

Hi Jim,

Thank you for organizing, Sign No Limits up for:

4. Green salad and dressing for Thursday night

Also please sign up 2 for the fishing trip.

Joel, very glade to hear Sue is doing better!

Best Regards,
Paul

Trip Update.

We have the following ten indicated attendees:

1. Pounder (Jim & Kath)
2. Dinner Belle II (John & Robbin)
3. Slack Time (John & Laurie)
4. SEA3PO (Joel & Susan)
5. C-Hawk (Roger)
6. Blue Eagle (David & Chris)
7. Dora Jean (Steve & Carmen)
8. No Limits (Paul & wife)
9. Momma Byrd (Birdman)
10. Lil Rascal (Scott).

We are at our ten-boat maximum. In addition, Kanaloa (Conrad, wife, and daughter) will be joining us at the Duck club for just Wednesday night and hw will be leaving Thursday.

Many of you have already sent your marina fees in to secure your San Francisco reservations. Thank you. At the end of March, I will be pre-paying the City of San Francisco for our marina fees for Friday night and Saturday night.

I still need to receive $80 marina fees from the following four boats: Blue Eagle, No Limits, Momma Byrd, and Lil Rascal. If I do not receive these checks by the end of this month, I will assume that you are not going on this trip. You have two weeks to get this payment made.

We have food volunteers for Thursday night and Friday morning at the Duck Club as follows:

Thursday Night
1. SEA3PO – Predinner snacks (chips, cheese, crackers)
2. Pounder – Hamburger
3. Slack Time- Condiments and Buns
4. Dora Jean- Potato Salad
5. No Limits- Green Salad and Dressing
6. Blue Eagle- Desert

Friday Morning
1. C-Hawk – Coffee and Orange Juice.

We still need someone to bring croissants or bakery items for Friday morning. Can Birdman or Lil Rascal, if you are still going, please sign up for these?

John Eudy sent me pictures of giant Stripped Bass being caught by our guide near the Duck Club. Don't forget to ring your fishing licenses!

Jim and Kath

I may be needing to leave my boat on trailer and truck in the bay area for 3 weeks after this meet. Anyone have any recommendations on storage facilities?

Greetings to the Delta Cruise fleet. I am looking forward to filling in for Position #10.since there seems to be a recent opening.

SleepyC will be there and looking forward to being able to travel with such an elite fleet. This is something I have been looking forward to for some time, but circumstances have just not allowed for until now.

Jim, the check will be in the mail tomorrow, and I will be working on charting for the Delta and Bay area ASAP.

Joel, I would be interested in the up river, pre cruise if you are planning that, and wouldn't mind a buddy boat for a company. The whole area is new to me so I am pretty OK with any destination.

Scot, Sorry you are not going to be able to do this cruise, but Thank you for letting the space open up early enough for me to slip into your spot.

Jim, thank you for doing all the leg work on this. It will be exciting.

Most Recent Trip Update.

I need to prepay the City of San Francisco at the end of March for our marina fees for Friday and Saturday nights. The following two vessels, Blue Eagle (David & Chris) and Momma Byrd (Patrick) have still not paid their fees to me.

The following 8 vessels have signed up for this trip and have paid their San Francisco Marina fees:

1. Pounder (Jim & Kath)
2. Dinner Belle II (John & Robbin)
3. Slack Time (John & Laurie)
4. SEA3PO (Joel & Susan)
5. C-Hawk (Roger)
6. Dora-Jean (Steve & Carmen)
7. No Limits (Paul & Al)
8. Sleepy C (Harvey).

I need to receive marina fees from David and Patrick by Monday, April 1st at the latest, if you still plan to go on this trip and stay at SF South Beach Harbor with the group. You have 6 more days to get these fees to me.

The reason being for this request is that I will have to prepay our fees to the City of SF at this time. I will not prepay your marina fees unless I receive them from you. If your slip is not prepaid the City will not have a berth for you.

Please don’t come to me later expecting a berth at SF if you do not get your fees mailed in to me on time. Thank you for your consideration.

Looking forward to a fun 2019 Delta and Bay Extravaganza (Number 17!) C-Dory gathering.

Jim & Kath

Ok, we are all set. All ten vessels are signed up and are engaged to go on this C-Dory trip.

We will have approximately 23 people attending our 17th Annual Delta and Bay Extravaganza. Eleven folks have indicated they want to go guided fishing on Thursday with Jeff and John.

Reservations have been completed and ten slips have been prepaid for San Francisco South Beach Marina. We will be staying there two days, Friday and Saturday. Everyone has assigned slips for those two days.

Now the challenge will be for us to have good enough weather, so that we can make it across San Pablo and San Francisco Bays from the Honker Island Duck Club to South Beach Marina. Last year, in 2018, it was far too windy and rainy for most of us to make it to San Francisco and we had to divert to Petaluma and Vallejo.

Let’s all hope for some good weather this year so we can take advantage of our San Francisco slips! It should be far more likely this year as the event is scheduled one month later than last year.

Jim & Kath

I am so looking forward to this. I have most of the boat projects accomplished. Still may need to access some charting as I don't believe I have anything south of the Columbia River. This is homework I need to move up the priority list.

Really agree, we need good weather. It makes for better pictures.

I have been trying to find the videos from some of the previous years... I remember looking at them when they were first posted, but would like to go back and review. Does anyone have a quick access to where they are?

Thanks Floyd and Eiko. I wish you were going this year, would love to cross wakes with you, and learn. You have a lot to offer.

I missed out on getting in on the trip this year, but would like to join in on a pre-trip up river cruise. Joel and Harvey, are you still thinking about arriving early to visit the other delta areas?

I'll be getting up there the end of the week prior to the meet up. I plan on using Benicia Marina as a home base.

I am planning on arriving a few days early. I have not contacted Joel (yet
Looking at arriving before the weekend. Figured to launch at the cruise origin marina.

Had to pull out as we will still be hard at it planting potatoes first of May. I, like Harvey and others, do want to get back down to the CA waters on my own hull soon. A special thanks to Jim for working with me and our contact as I drove cross country coordinating things, and getting my name off "the he aint paid list." Im sorry to have caused extra trouble and work Jim as I totally understand putting on gatherings and folks not following timelines. I simply screwed up attempting to get access to the river to even pull my boat and my home closed up in TN prior to driving out. It is great to have boating friends that helped me get this done this year. Hopefully after planting season is over some of us can enjoy some water times. Thanks again Jim.

So sorry Patrick will not be able to make it after all. He sure gave it a good try.

Seaspray will be taking this spot so we are still at 10 active vessels!

Jim & Kath

Hello all,

Karen and I are happy to fill Patrick's, spot, Sorry to hear you can not make it. I will be sending you a PM.

It looks like no one has taken the breakfast pastries for Thursday morning so we can provide those. I have been working 7 days a week and many hours to finish up this tax season. Only 8 more days until I am unemployed again! I am looking forward to enjoying this trip after working so much.

Since I live close, I am flexible with meeting others for a pre-cruise run in the opposite direction. Harvey, just let me know when you will arrive at Delta Marina. I am not a planner like Jim, so it will probably be, let's meet and decide where we would like to go. We can post a meet up day for anyone that wants to go. I plan to spend Tuesday night at Delta Marina to be ready for the main event.
