Can anybody advise me how best to value my C-Dory? It is a custom boat and therefore hard to compare to others made around the same time. I may sell it or take a partner due to the cancellation of salmon season in California. I can only find 22 footers to compare to. She is a working boat in northern California. In great shape mechanically but not bristol cosmetically. Still very nice but not show room. She is rigged to fish and conduct marine research. She is in a berth and run regularly. Consistently maintained with an eye towards safety and reliability. Here is a cursory list of her features;

1999 Yamaha Salt Water Series II 225 1300hrs
1989 Johnson 25 kicker 1100 hrs (both run perfectly)

Duel High Wattage VHF radios plus a CB
Faruno Radar
Chart Plotter/GPS/Fish Finder(with charts)
Back Up GPS plus third handheld GPS
406 EPIRB automatic deploy
Three survival suits
All safety equip
Alcohol Stove/Sink/Table/Seats to Bed/Porta Potty
Kristal Downrigger
Five Rod holders
Quick Connect Live Well for deck
Saltwater wash down pump/hose
New 128G Coast Guard Certified fuel tank(Profession install)
8ft by 4 ft in deck custom live well/fish box/specimen well w/duel hatch access (this feature allows for commercial fishing with 1000pound capacity)
This boat is in the water ready to fish/cruise!
32ft total length x 9ft beam(Bow sprit and outboard bracket add length)
Extra thick hull with improved design for offshore work

Hi Charlie,
Yes I will find a way to post or attach some photos soon. I will get you the hull number as well. Other then searching the data bases on vessel history, what other research can I do based on hull number?
Thanks,
Karl

Karl,

Is this the 26' Deep V hull or the 27' flat bottom hull? I'm thinking since you have an offshore bracket and the bow pulpit it must be the deep V 26' like on the angler we were talking about a couple weeks ago. I would love to see some pictures!

Karl, you need to ask the nerds for a photo album to get pix posted on the site. Unless you have them elsewhere and then you can do it without having an album here using the "IMG" funciton.

I think you can get a vessel history if you have the HIN number but it'll cost you a few bucks.

If you have your boat surveyed by a competent certified, Marine Surveyor, i.e. National Association of Marine Surveyors. He or she should be able to come up with an accurate sale price. Additionally, he/she should be an excellent source of information on value as well as other subjects regarding your boat.

If you have already choosen a starting price could you please pass it along in this forum. Thank you in advance.
