That is quite bargain at just under half a million dollars.

Good luck with your sale. I bought my beautiful 22' Cruiser in Bend, OR a few years ago.

Go Seahawks!!!!!!!!!

Keeping priorities in order . . .
#1 GO Hawks.
#2 GO GO SEAHAWKS
#3 Somebody should jump on that boat 'cause I know it is a very well trained fish magnet.
PS GO GO GO SEAHAWKS

Hey, Ken. Would you take $497,850? Is the trailer included in that price? I know you're going to say that I should come look at it before I low-ball you, but I'm going to have to take our nest egg and stop in Las Vegas on my way north. Just trying to figure out how many times I need to let it ride. ;)

Good luck with the sale.
Jim

all right, you guys beat me down on the price. I see the prices on some older C-Dorys on the web for sale for $35k-45K but unlike them, I'd like to sell my boat. I kind of hate to part with it as it's chocked full of memories but it's time for the kid and his family to make their own memories which I'm told include tuna fishing....so....if anybody would like to part with their Tomcat, I'm interested. It would have to have a rear helm station so the kid could control the boat and administer lashings to his deckhands simultaneously.

The C-Brat special price is $28,500. if the Seahawks lose their next game the price goes back up $497850, that might still leave me enough to have lunch in HI with Jamestxsd

$28,500 is a screaming deal for this boat. It has tons of extras and has been very well maintained.

engine hours? I don't know, I think i would need to go to a suzuki dealer and have them tap into the computer to get that info and there are no dealers around. I would grantee they are less than average as for 12 summers it was covered up and slightly used for spring & fall fishing on the Columbia
years ago I reached out to the Mascoat rep inquiring about their insulation. He came and put on some impressive demonstrations. I suggested that he go visit the C-D factory as it would sure be a quick easy job to apply to a bare cabin, I believe the factory did start using the goop. I did spray the interior and then covered with a kitchen enamel and to this day you it still looks just like a stock interior.

cost less than four super bowl tickets :ROFLMAO:

Hey there, we're on the hunt for a Tomcat so we can have room for growing grandturds

Just joined the forum when I saw this post and very interested in C-Dories. Currently we have an Islander 36 sailboat (love it!) but would like to reduce our crossing time to the Channel Islands (CA) from 6 hours to 1 hour. Kids are so impatient. I would like to know more about this boat -- images, spec's, trailer etc. -- especially if the SeaHawks win (a given) and the price remains below $500K. Is it posted anywhere else? LMK THX

Wow, @B~C, this is perfect! You should trade for Skyler's sailboat. You would look so cool on it, all swave and deeboner and all. Who cares how long it takes to get to the tuna grounds - you're retired.

it would take more than a sailboat to make me look swave and deedoner. I've never had the urge to have a sailboat, I'm sure they're fun but I really like the idea of going where I want to go. you need to drag you ass down to Coos Bay and go fishing....if I can get my hands on a Tomcat, the killdeck would have room for a walker :)

Welcome to the Brats. I've never boated in CA but from what I hear I think with a family & kids, a 25'er might be a better fit. The women folk would like a standup head and the ride would be better in the chop when the wind comes up. I'd wager that if you put out the call for a test ride in your area somebody would take you for a spin.
I'll send you some particulars on my boat, check your mailbox

I would strongly consider a Tom Cat 255 catamaran for your use. I spent 50 years boating in S. Calif--and have used the 22, 25 and 255 in S. Calif. My son currently has a C Dory 25 at Dana Point. The catamaran will be faster, and a smoother ride--it also has better sleeping situation, expecially if you have several children. Go to the Factory web site for more specific numbers on the C Dory boats.
We had twin Suzuki 150's on our Tom Cat 255, and could cruise in the 35 mph range, with top speeds at the high 40 mph range, and would handle chop better than the 22 or 25 monohuls.

I agree see if one of the local boats would give you a ride. There is at least one Tom Cat which is actively involved with diving off the Palos Verde Peninsula out of San Pedro. The 22 I used to own is your area to the best of my knowledge. There is also a dealer if you really want to pay $500,000 for a really tricked out now boat---on other "trailerable Trawler". As for trailering, must SUV's will tow the C Dory 22 (Less than 5,000 lbs). The C Dory 25, comes in close to 7,000 lbs, so you are looking for a 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton truck. The Tom Cat is closer to 10,000 lbs. and a 3/4 to 1 ton pickup is called for.

Sold.... I think they were worried about the potential post super bowl price increase

Timing is everything. I am sure they'll enjoy it. Thanks for the advice on the DM and above in this thread. Would love to get a 25 but my reliable (gas powered) Sequoia would turn against me, and I can only upgrade one toy at a time.
