I am helping a friend sell his C-Dory - he purchased it two years ago and I have been helping him get it ready for extensive cruising. He has never used the boat and late last year suffered a mini-stroke which has put a damper on his life.
There are still a few items that have not yet been installed and some additional preparations are needed before one can hop in and head out for a month. That said, the boat has undergone extensive upgrades including new Garmin GPSMAP 723XSV with Navionics Vision+ for the U.S. South, Garmin GMR 18HD+ Radar, GT52-HW Transducer, NMEA2000 networking, Standard Horizon GX2400 VHF/AIS, Shakespeare 3004 SeaWatch, Blue Sea ELCI Main 30A service, ProSportHD Series 2 Bank Marine Battery Charger, LiTime 100AH LifePO4 2-battery house bank, BODEGACOOLER 12 Volt Drawer Refrigerator, Lewmar Pro Fish 1000 Windlass, and navigation lighting. The spotlight, wiper, and horn need to be installed and some of the wiring needs to be tidied up. The Yamaha 115 has just been serviced to the tune of $800...
The 2001 C-Dory 22 Cruiser is a 22-foot, lightweight "pocket cruiser" known for fuel efficiency and a 7'8" beam, powered by a single 115HP Yamaha 4-stroke outboard, recently serviced. It features a 52 gallon fuel tank, a 6'4" headroom pilothouse, and a shallow 7" draft. It weighs 1,925 lbs dry (approx. 3,500-4,390 lbs on a trailer) and sleeps up to 4, making it highly trailerable.
This boat was purchased with the idea of cruising the ICW and do so in relative comfort and safety. I have known the owner for years (he bought my restored Grand Banks 32 woodie seen on this site)... I sold his GB32 as the wood maintenance was just more than he could handle. He found this trailerable C-Dory and said... "Let's go for it."
This boat needs a thorough cleaning, a porta-potty purchased, your personal effects loaded and off you go...
