2004 to 2016 changes in CD-25?

Can any of you old timers give me short history (good and bad) of changes in construction of CD-25 from 2004 to present? When looking at a used CD-25 what are best years to look at or to avoid? I understand the company has changed ownership over the years and improvements have been made.

Many wil chime in. The earliest boats were the "Cruise Ships" 6 built in the mid to late 1990's. The first new 25's had an open are under the splash well, the water tank was forward, and the septic holding tank was aft. There was a macerator under the floor, and it often became corroded. I personally like the older and newer (about the same) solid bulkhead aft, with side scuppers, and hatches to access the area under the splash well. The 2002/2003 /? 2004 some--had an open area there, and scupper aft..

The fuel tank in first was plastic, and about in 2004 changed to aluminum There were also dual fills (both sides) added about 2004.

In the 2006 (?) era the head was changed to the Sea Land, self contained unit with the 9 gallon holding tank in the base.

In the 2006 era some drawers were added, the water heater was in various locations, as was the refer--varied.

Water tank went aft at some point,--may have gone forward later.

I had a 2003 boat, where we had to redo the transom, and re-inforce the area under the splash well. I can only speak to the one boat.

One weak area, is location of access to bilge pump, fuel tank, and the hatches in the floor. The all can leak, and can be an area with some core rot, if not properly filled with epoxy, where the hatches were. I know of at least 3 boats which had to have new cockpit floors because of the water intrusion from around the screws holding the hatches in place. Many had very localized repairs---not too hard to do.

Later came molded interiors, perhaps a bit harder to modify. I believe some had liners as an option. My son's 1996 25 seems to be a very solid boat, and no floor or hull issues.
