2005 C Dory 22 Cruiser - $32000 (Carrollton,Virginia )

Thanks! Sally and I are going to look at this boat on Thursday. Apparently the ETEC 90 has some recent injector work done at 360 hours. Ant tips on what to look for?

Not really. With a C-Dory 22 what you see is what you get pretty much. There aren't really any hidden areas or systems that can get you later. I don't have one, but from what I read I would check out the Wallis thoroughly. They can be a bit pricey to repair/replace.

I would be sure to check that the electronics work as advertised and be sure to take it out for a trial. It might be a bit nippy this time of year but it is something you should do before agreeing on a price. Run the engine for reasonable amounts of time at various power settings.

Examine that camperback if it is not up on the boat.

Be sure to check out the trailer thoroughly as well. Make sure the brakes actually work and that there are no weak spots.

I took a look at the boat when the local marine store took it in. The seller is a friend. I took lots of photos and can answer questions.
I have no financial interest in this boat. I did help the broker with general questions, as he had never brokered a C-Dory.
PM me if you want my photos.

In VA if a trailer has brakes it needs to pass an annual safety inspection (although some people never bother to get it done). You might to ensure that the trailer has a current inspection or will pass an inspection as a condition of the purchase.

Grin,
Are you asking about the mini-loop of the ICW that a bunch of us Brats typically do in May? If so, we usually start the journey near mile marker zero (Elizabeth River near downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth! Va). Several years the trip started at Centerville Marina, nearer to Great Bridge, because that is where those that trailered in launched. Last year we stated from my house in Portsmouth.
It is always a pleasant trip with lots of camaraderie.
Joan and I look forward to making the trip this year. If you have any questions, feel free to call at 757-477-1453.
Ps, there is a post on this subject that just stared a few days ago.

I don't know how we got into the loop discussion in a For Sale Thread but this boat was sold this afternoon to Sally and I.

We are back in the C-Dory Business! :love

We will take delivery early in the new year along with a new aluminum tandem trailer from Troy Marine in Carrolton VA!

Name TBD

Great news, Charlie and Sally - looking forward to hearing about your 22 experience! Always appreciate your participation here! :thup

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan

Charlie;

It is great to see you & Sally are back in the wet.

I'm looking forward to see what projects you are going to throw at the TBA named CD22.

This must be a support the economy week. 2 weeks ago I purchased a new 2Mtr, FT2900R, ham radio; I liked it so much I bought a second. Now I finally have a mobile radio in the car and home. These have all the items needed for cross country travel with the tone (CTSS), etc. options. [Did I also say that there is a $40 rebate on each till the end of the month?] Now I can probably add the older KENWOOD, TR7400A, 2Mtr to the CD25 (practical, heck no).

Boy, I'm sure pleased that you will get you sea legs under you again. Nice choice on the trailer.

I'm looking forward to seeing you folks again, on the water or not.
