2008 C Dory 22 "Little Bit" in the For Sale Sectio

After many years of wonderful boating and many C-Brats Gatherings we have decided to sell "Little Bit". We are ready to embark on a new adventure in boating over the next 2 years by living aboard and completing sections of the Great Loop we have not traversed. After much debate we bought a Rosborough 246RF Sedan Cruiser over the C Dory 25 Cruiser. Either way it was time to get a little more room to extend our cruising.

More fun than our beloved "Little Bit" has been the friends we have developed through this forum and and the many gatherings. Apalachicola, Lake Powell, Ladysmith, Delta, Mississippi, Hontoon Island, etc. Not only have many folks "thrown us a line" on this forum by answering questions, but have always been there to meet us at the dock at these fun social events. What a great community of boaters!

Below is a link to photos if you know of others searching for a 22 Cruiser. Boat is waxed and trailer is ready to go. Pricing and details are posted in the For Sale section with an PDF attachment.

Thanks Colby!

With the amount of time you like to spend boating I know we will get together on water again!

I think you are definitely the current trophy holder for trailer miles on this forum ....or maybe Jay and Jolee with Hunkydory going to Alaska all the time? I know Barb and I put on a lot of miles and it takes a special breed.
Good tires, brakes, repack those wheel bearings.....then ride baby, ride.

Of course we all know the world record holders would be Dr. Bob and Marie...& Gigi !!!

All the best

It's a small world, specially in the small boating/pocket trawler life. I have had several C-Dorys, an RF. I'd like to own another CD and add to the collection! We'll see you again whether on an RF or CD!

Thanks so much for the shout out Floyd and Eiko! We wanted cruise with you guys again last fall on the Mississippi trip...but it just wasn't in the cards. Keep posting your adventures of your YouTube channel, I watch them all.

Scott and Barb,

Enjoy the Loop! The Rossi will do you well!

Hereis a web page by our friends Rip and Beth Tyler who started the Loop on a Monk 36 in 2017 and finished it on a Rossi in 2019!

Pat and Patty

Thanks Pat and Patti!!!

Yes, wow small world. Rip and Beth are pretty prolific posters on the Rossi Forum (like someone I know).

Sure miss those floating cocktail hours with you guys at the beach Lake Powell. It was hard to get up with Marie to catch the early morning stripers jumping around.

All the best,
Scott & Barb

Hereis a blog post from a very enjoyable evening on the Erie Canal with Rip and Beth on the Monk 36 Lab Partners. Hopefully you will ge to have evenings like this!

Hi again Wee Bit crew!

Your Rosborough is another great non-oversize trailer boat for doing the Loop in segments.

But hey! You can’t see it properly in just two years (or five years)!

We aim to beat the current 11 year record to ‘complete the Loop’ in segments (from 2017) now at 3,000 miles and 200 locks (though only 100 locks are on the official Loop route, we ‘divert’ a lot).

We wrote an article on ‘Looping in segments on a trailer boat’ that is on the AGLCA website here, including our comments on your boat as being great for this cruise pages 14-21:

PM me if you guys are interested in our updated list of marinas with transient slips that ALSO has an adequate ramp for a heavy trailer boat (yours is very heavy) AND reasonable rig parking fees.

Hope we see you on the Loop soon!

John

Hi John and Eileen,

Thanks so much for the post. We will definitely follow up with a PM in the near future. You have our plan pegged. It's been a whirl wind today as we saw "Little Bit" drive off , but tomorrow we get the closing done on the Rosborough. Next we are putting our household in storage buy the end of June and going to Alabama on the Tennessee River for a full weeks to do upgrades, etc. before heading south at some point.

Hope to start a conversation about your experiences!
