2012 C-Dory Venture 23' FRESHWATER with 27 hours

After a lot of deliberation I have decided to offer my 23' Venture for sale.
I purchased the Venture from Marc Grove at Wefings Marine in May of
2012 in anticipation of cruising the North Channel. I spent a year having
almost every possible option installed on the boat with no expense
spared. I have receipts for over $98,000 invested in the Venture.
I really love this boat, but unfortunately my health is telling me to let
it go. I put all I could into making this boat perfect, all the work was
performed by a Palmer Johnson Yachts Certified Electronics Specialist.

Beautiful boat!! You have done an excellent job outfitting it. After all the work and money you have put into it - my heart would break having to part with it after only 27 hours. Somebody will get an excellent boat and deal. Enjoyed the pictures, thanks for posting them.

Anyone have any idea how much to have someone haul boat from Wisconsin to PA? Who do you recommend,just inquiring,wife asked. Thanks Also how would you insure it while being transported? Not saying buying it but sure am thinking of every way to see if we could afford to do it.
 
When I was looking last year, transportation is about $1 per mile. You can go on Yacht World and they have an app for boat hauling.
 
Thanks for info. Last time I bought a boat drove 12 hrs to Southport ,then driving home wheel bearing kept getting hot,when I pulled in driveway a bad winter storm started. Got lucky twice,nice boat in good shape 2008 19ft Montauk. Since have purchased a new trailer dual wheel.
 
The transport depends on if there is a good trailer/vs shipping on a boat carrier. soem can carry 2 C Dory22's. But then you have to find another similar sized boat going thesame way.

I paid about $1 a mile 14 years ago--I would suspect a bit more today.

Insure the boat with yoru broker. I do that before I picke a boat up, when buying a "new" boat. The hauler should also have insurane. But have your own.
 
I neglected to mention in the ad for my 2012 C-dory Venture that I have

a Honda EU 2000i Generator w/ an Extended Run 3.2 Gallon Fuel Tank

System which is virtually brand new and included with the boat.
 
My C-Dory 23' Venture has been sold to a wonderful couple from Oregon.
I am sad to see the boat go, but I am happy that it is going to a couple
who will really enjoy owning and using the Venture. I want to thank
the folks who expressed interest in the boat while it was for sale and I hope
they find another C-Dory that fulfills their dreams. Also, thanks for this
forum that allows us to sell our C-Dory's to some great C-Brats.
 
Sorry your health has caused the sale of a very nice build. Having said that I have to admit that on some boats it is the hunt or the build that for sure gives many hours of pleasure and enjoyment even without ever hitting the waters. You had the pleasure of the build, and very few hours on the water, but you did get to enjoy her. Congrats on the sale. Best wishes and extended health and quality of life! Thanks for building a great boat!
