The 2012 Vancouver BC boat show runs from Feb. 8th to the 12th. Port Boat House will have a C-Dory display but it doessn't say what boats will be there. I wish i could go but maybe someday, really would like to see a new Angler and Cruiser up close. Tug

They usually have the Ranger Tugs, the Cutwater series, and a 22 cruiser in stock. I also see both 16 footer styles (cruiser and angler) in and around their yard.
I will be at the show this Friday and can let you know what is there if you like.

Hi Andrew, I'm going to be at the show Friday also. I'm doing a seminar on my sail thru the Arctic on the 10th at 3 pm at the seminar stage. Maybe we can meet up and go see the show? I'm then heading back to the ferry for the evening boat. George. Dave is pretty supportive of the c dory and generally has a 22 and a 16 in stock. George :smiled

Hi there. No cd's in the show. Last I heard the 22 in stock was sold and being rigged so no inventory. It costs about $500 dollars to bring the boat on the ferry so pricey deal. I have had 2 new c dorys and never been on one. Just went with reputation and this site. We have a lot of experienced boat folks here. Good luck and welcome aboard. George

The PBhouse had the cut waters and ranger tugs up from the Seattle show had the best display of the show. I was speaking at a seminar and had the chance to tour the show. Some observations were first off what a turnoff it is just getting to the show. No signage for parking and poor acces to parking once found. Then $20 to park your car $30 to park your truck! Then $15 to get in. I had a presenter pass but $ 30 bucks to park was nutty. Space at these shows is pricey for exhibitors and staffing is a huge expense with meals and hotel accommodation for out of town dealers. I can easily see why the PBhouse wouldn't bring stock over on the ferry. Each way is $250 plus gas and staff wages. Then space in the show. If Kerri On is in the area next year I will offer to put her on display in return for a major detailing. In my eight years at west marine, the corporate policy on shows changed. They will not go into a show of under 10 days as the cost/return isn't there on short shows. Vancouver is only 5 days. The Seattle show had reasonable $11 parking and food costs were affordable. I had $8.50 for fish and chips in Seattle. A small cup of coffee in vancouvers show in the exhibitor lounge was $3.50!!!! It was $4.00 outside on the floor. A hot dog was $5.75 fish and chips $13.00. They wonder why attendance is down. It is really not appealing to attend the show. I will skip Vancouver's show next year and attend seattles. I have long felt it better to just go see the dealer after the show and not bother with the show itself

I have to agree.
I didn't think I saw a West Marine booth, now I know why.
I think the show was a bust.
I didn't get down to the floating portion as the weather was lousy when I went to the show.
I will agree that PBH display was one of the best looking there, seemed to be lots of interest in their boats too.
Don't think I'll be making the trek next year.

We use this show as a weekend away in the winter which is longer up here in quesnel. Much preferred the setup in the convention center to bc place. Floating show always fun place to dream and check out retirement boats. we always shop for accessories to which we have limited access up here. That selection was also better at convention center. We stopped in at west marine store and did not even notice any boat show specials this year. the anchor wench decided we needed a windlass this year
