2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza Sign Up!

Well, It is nice to see this event still going on. I did it several years ago, and it was a great adventure. My first time there, so I launched a week early and spent some time up the river in the delta exploring around. Steve and Karen on Sea Spray met me and we had a great time before the official event started. It was a fun event, but, for me the pace was a bit above my usual, and If I was doing it again, I would be drifting along at quarter throttle, right along with Colby, Karl, and Colleen and Gary. You all have a great time. It will be worth the trip.

Hey Harvey, Glad to see you back on C-Brats! lol. The first time Rosanne and I did this trip, we took an extra day or two after the event and cruised up to Old Sacramento and spent the night in the marina, returning the next day. River was flowing pretty good at that time, due to spring run off. Lots of debris in the water, that during the Delta event, several of the twin engine guys kept picking up limbs between their outboards. Lol. Colby

Hi John. As the days go by quickly, when will you be coming out with the costs and other specifics for this event. I seem to remember sign up for food as well. Sitting here inside, on a windy and cold day, thinking about summer cruising. That and I'm lookng at a few weeks away from home in March spending some time down on Dale Holloway Lake. Thanks. Colby

Just some fond memories I have of the trip in 2023. Looking forward to seeing all and doing it again.

Just a reminder that this trip is truly an adventure and as such has both inherent risks and possible changes to the itinerary. The San Francisco Bay can be a challenging place for boaters as winds, tides and boat traffic can cause some havoc. We will be carefully monitoring sea conditions especially as we venture to cross the San Pablo Bay. Most years we have crossed San Pablo Bay with ease… some years have been rough and some we decided to simply wait it out.

To quote Jim Gibson “As always, each boat captain is solely responsible for his/her own boat’s and passenger’s ultimate safety and wellbeing. Each Skipper is not to rely on the judgement (or lack thereof) of the Pack Commodore.” In short, you are responsible for making sure that both you and your boat are properly prepared for this journey. This has always been a fun trip and I am confident the 2026 Delta and Bay Extravaganza will be as well!

Gary and Colleen will bring chips and dip/homemade salsa for Monday's potluck dinner.

Stacey & Laurel will desert for dinner

I'll bring a vegetable side dish. Most likely a 3 bean salad if that's ok. Still not sure if Rosanne will be coming along. Keeping my fingers crossed. :-) If she comes, she'll be either flying out of SFO the morning of the 24th, or out of SAC on the 25th. Colby

Oops, meant SMF, not SAC. ;-)
