I'm not selling this boat, but I've encouraged the seller to an ad here himself. Here's the ad from craigslist, posted 3/23/07

$30000.00 for a 1983 24 year old 22 Angler???
too much!!!

You can buy a Brand new 2007 Angler with motor and trailer for around 45000.00

20k is more reasionable

It is difficult to determine the value from a brief description and it is possible the boat has many extras not listed. The 83 C-Dory is not classified as an Angler. It was a flat bottom, no V in front and is listed as the Classic model. I am assuming Dick knows more about the boat than what is listed here and at first glance, it does appear to be overpriced.

I repeat, I'm not selling this boat, and don't know the owner. I just spotted the ad on CL. I have no idea what year it is, or anything. I just forwarded the ad in case anyone's interested.

As for the price, I'm not so sure about $29K being too much. In my opinion, it depends on the boat has been treated (garaged, etc.), the year of and hours on the motor, what kind of electronics the boat has on board, and so on. The year of the hull alone doesn't give any reliable indication of what it's worth.


By the way, while I was window shopping I also spotted a1 1995 22' Cruiser on Craigslist for $19,500, located in Dana Point, CA., in case anybody's shopping.
