22 Cruiser with bench seat in cockpit?

I looked at the new 22 cruiser today and wondered if anyone has put in a bench seat in the back? What do you use to sit on if no bench seat?

KathyJ, Hey I saw your boat, the Ocean Roamer 33 rigged for commercial fishing, in the Boatyard at Port Townsend. I knew it was your boat because it had your name on it 8)

As to sitting in the cockpit. IF I sit out there it is either on the gunnel or if I'm anchored out, on a fender down in the cockpit. Guess I just don't do fancy. There are some C-Dorys that I have seen that have a bench of some sort back there. Often times coolers work.

For cockpit seating on extended cruises we have used this set up when most of the room in the cockpit was taken.

On trips where we had company & needed extra seating & had room in the cockpit, we used the same REI folding camp chairs used most of the time for sitting on the docks by the boat or on the beach.

For cockpit seats I have two large plastic chests topped with plywood to reinforce the not-strong-enough tops - seats 4 easily but not socially distanced. This also gives me lots of extra storage. I will post pictures in my photo album soon, first album on page 7 of the albums.

Several people have done various fold down benches. The search feature is not particularly good for that... We don't feel that is necessary, since we have chest refrigerator/freezers which one can sit on--in the 22, we usually also carried a nylon/glassinfused storage box, about the same height--gave plenty of seating space. The are many who just want folding chairs in the cockpit --and that has worked for us also.

A quick search reveals: Cockpit seating

I am sure there are a few more...

Reading and looking at those should give you some ideas.
