22' vs 25'

Dave -

Congratulations on the "Current status" of your delightful daughter. Especially the "boyfriend-none" part. If the status can be maintained until she is 27, the Nordic Tug is oh so much greater a possibility.

Let's see......Tyboo, you may be on to something.....

Age 27 = 27' Nordic Tug
Age 32 = 32' Nordic Tug
Age 37 = 37' Nordic Tug
Age 42, 52.....can't wait THAT LONG! :disgust

(Truth be known, I really do love my 22' C-Dory Cruiser and young :rose daughter!)

It is hard to picture where it would fit on a 22. What did you have in mind? It is definitely higher than a Porta Potti and it has a vent hose...

Nothing in particular in mind other than in place of the porta potti... but I suspected it would be taller... guess in view of the fact that I would need to cut a three foot hole in the keel I might should forget about it. Do know that if I were to ever get a 25 I would definitely go with the Airhead! I certainly think you did the right thing!

It may be the smart thing to start with a 22 unless you have so many family members a 25 is dictated. I would definately consider all the ways you'll use the boat or contemplate using it. When I purchased the C-Dory I never thought about camping in the mountains with it, but one of the most fun things I've done is using the thing as an RV throughout the Rockies. Some of the areas I've gotten into I simply couldn't in the 25 (I've had bigger boats than 25).

So you might want to test the waters with a 22 for a few years and see how it goes. Some have moved up in size, and some of us moved down and found less was more. Works both ways (both are great boats).
