What we proposed would lengthen the cockpit. In the 2003-2005 CD 25, the cockpit floor extends to the transom. You would only have about a 6" ledge at the top of the transom, even with the gunnels, which was left after revision. 6" is often the "thickness" of many sportfishers aft railings, transoms. This would not affect the "Fishability"--But you do have the armstrong bracket aft. In the Tom Cat I see the bracket as a real plus.
