27 fter in Portland for sale

Can anyone post a link to information about this series of C-dory? I have looked here in the "our boats" section and see that most are inboards while this one is an outboard. I have tried to contact the seller, but he has not yet replied. This looks like a good price for a project boat as it includes the trailer.

Any comments, advice or warnings?

talked to the owner and this is a steal. two of you have already called to take a look but I am third in line. If you other two pass let me know why before I head down there. I doubt that this boat last thru the day.

Short list of items, seller does not know boats at all, fishfinder radar chart plotter of unknown makes. 200 yamaha, trailer, kicker 9.8 merc, shower in bathroom, mirowave, electric downriggers of some sort( he called them auto reels, does not know what a downrigger is) some sort of stove in galley but he did not know anything about it.

Boat has been sitting since owner died over a year ago. the wife is selling it thru car dealer ( new boy friend) who does not know boats but made a good choice of putting it on craigslist. this is going to be a good deal for someone who getts there first.

Just got off the phone with the seller's friend. He's got a couple of people ahead of me, but if they don't want it, I will be putting a deposit on it for inspection. The Better Half thinks it's a good deal so I have the OK. Anyone in the Portland area who might be willing to go take some pics and thump on the transom for me if he calls back? They need to sell for probate reasons.......

Looks like Sea Cowboy. He was a member of this site or C-Dogs and that is a cardboard cut out of a girl on the front.

C-Otter
It's a double tragedy-

Too bad the poor fellow died.

I knew some C-Dogs and C-Brats that thought they were in love with that girl.

Does the cardboard cutout come with the boat?

Joe.

There is one fellow ahead of me: if he does not buy it after inspection, then it's mine. The seller seems to be a pretty fair fellow, he turned down an offer of 19k in order to give people a chance in the order they called. We had planned to eventually become boat owners, but not at this time and in this economy, but the price and size is too good to pass up.

It looks like that boat has a 200hp carburated Yamaha 2 stroke. I've got that engine on a Whaler and it has performed perfectly for the last 11 years. The only problem is it's fuel burn...at 4200-4500rpm I burn 12-16 gallons per hour. Compared to the Honda 90 EFI on the C-Dory it is noisy, smoky, and hard starting as well, but it's dependable. Of course for $15k, you are getting the boat and engine for less than a new 200hp Yamaha 4-stroke would cost rigged.
