Just watched the news from the SE about all the tornadoes that ripped through about 6 states and devastated so many. Over a hundred dead, thousands hurting, several thousand homeless and a million left powerless. Looking at the brat map, there are plenty of our "family" in the areas. Sure hope that they are OK. Prayers for safety, connection and speedy recovery. Incredible stories of survival already. Hope to hear good news.

WE stayed at a friends place last summer in Tellico ,Tn .MY friend called and told me that a tree came down and split his boathouse in two and sunk his boat . What a bummer but he is luckier then so many that have lost their lives and their homes .We pray that the people affected can get back to their lives and have some semblance of normalcy

Actually, over 200 dead in AL, nearing 300 overall. We were ready to go to the cellar but in VA they stayed in the south and the middle of the state. Our hearts go out to those who lost family members and posessions! Not much good news to be had. I saw the story about 5 puppies :dog :love who were sucked up in a cloud and landed safely and are now back home.

Only by the grace of God we missed it. Left Pensacola Sun headed north. Got to COE campground just East of Selma. It was so nice there we just stayed until yesterday. We had planned to go to a campground around Tuscaloosa but didn't. If we had we would have been in the kill zone. We are now at Carter Lake north of Atlanta.

I have seen the aftermath of many twister and one hurricane ( hugo) and its not very pretty. the damage done is random and complete. you house gets hit and is gone or you live across the street and its untouched. I feel for all those affected and hope you and your families are safe. Fed the children is the organization I like to give to in times like these and they are already in the field feeding people in the south. Please give to who every you choose but please give. It could be you next time.

Hopefully all c brats are O K, but some are in the danger zone. We have many relatives and friends near the paths. One couple was playing in a bridge tournament;the sites were a mile apart and a tornado came between the two houses.

Our experience is that the salvation Army is often on scene first, but gets less publicity. Our prayers to all affected!
