My kicker is a new DF9.9B. It starts and runs fine, but when I try to flush it in the raised position (using ears, of course), it starts, runs for several seconds, then dies as though it is starving for fuel. It will start back up, but dies more quickly each subsequent attempt until after 4 or 5 attempts will not start at all. So I flush it with the flushing port, which doesn't seem like it would be as good. This has happened twice. Any input/opinions would be appreciated.
Additional information:
The boat is in the water, so flushing with fresh water in the lowered position is not an option.
The main, a 2008, 115 Suzuki, runs fine while being flushed in the raised position.
