Hey!...another WNC CD owner!

We just had ours on Lake James this weekend.

Where abouts in Mitchell County?...I was born in Spruce Pine.

snal,

Lake James is one of our local water hangouts as is Watauga Lake just across the Tenn. line. We have a business interest in Spruce Pine but live 20 miles north in the most northern part of the County, right on the Tenn. line at 5,000 feet elevation.

Hope to run into you eventually.

I'm sure our paths will cross eventually.
We have a camper at Lake James on the Marion side (Lake James Landing), and we've traveled several hundred miles on the Tennessee River system (love that!).

Jim,

You've got that right. When I retired from my life's main career several years ago I played (canoeing, camping and hiking) for a couple of years and began to feel somewhat useless. So I got involved with several civic functions and became a partner in a business. The time I spend with the business is flexible but now with urge to cruise, it's not flexible enough. Got to figure that out.

Ah, grasshopper, the secret is to become comfortable with feeling useless. Or, at the very least, learn to serve as a bad example. 8)

Just kidding, of course, but getting beyond that "you are what you do" stuff is tough for many men. Good luck making that flexible time work to your advantage.

Best wishes,
Jim B.
