I've made a point to spray a little Corrosion Block on all the DC panels/wires. It's a good idea of course to do this before you connect the bats and mop up any run off.

Based on my corroded AC wire this past year, I was thinking it would be a good idea to spray on a little Corrosion Block on the AC panel as well.

What do you guys do at the start of the season (if anything) with your wires and panels?
 
Awww, shoot, Matt...when I saw the title of this thread I was expecting cool comments from Angus Young or something.
 
Ve learned a long time ago to use conformal coating (silicon) and spray everything with it. Same thing as used to seal circit boards. At end of the year my battery connectors look like new ans all other connectors too.

I thought that conformal coating was a hard covering that you sprayed on, but then I've been wrong before.

I use either plain old silicon spray, from the auto parts store, or if I'm really feeling expansive, Boeshield. I've been know to spray silicone everywhere, and it's always helped, either as a lubricant or as a moisture barrier. Never hurt though I don't use it on mammals..

Yep, like 416rigby/Rick said…. I was expecting…or hoping maybe…for a little AC/DC Back In Black action…. “Hells Bells” was sort of a theme soung for the EOD guys…the guys who wear the “Crab” badge in all DOD entities and some civilian entities. No, I do not wear the Crab…but my last deployment was in an EOD group and spent much, much time with them. Way too close to the edge for me, but glad we have those in America who do what they do. Interestingly, they spend much of their time defusing IEDs…but, on some luck nights….they get to give a gift to the bad guys….thus the fitting song of choice. Hats off to the Crab Crew!!

Oh yea… silicone is good too.
 
I second silicon spray, good on anything electrical and preserves rubber and vinyl better than anything out there. I’m sure Corrosion Block is good stuff but most likely 99% silicon with some inert substance added.

Part of my winterizing includes spraying down the engine, battery compartment, and electrical mess behind the dash with silicon. Also all hatch and door seals get sprayed a couple times a year; seals will outlast the boat.

If my boat lived in a salt water slip I’d be going through 3 or 4 cans of silicon a year...in my commercial fishing days we bought it by the case.

Best thing about 100% silicon spray...it’s not messy, doesn’t leave a slimy film..Rubber just absorbs it.
