I was waiting for someone to bring up my favorite food..Pork and Beans..Tug

I"m in the "same camp" as many of you, however the Admiral doesn't seem to share my affection for beans......perhaps she has her reasons?...

Like you Marty, Bush Beans for me!

Since we're talking favorite pre-made, perfect food:

Spam musubi: sticky rice, w/ a slice of fried spam wrapped in seaweed sushi wrap. YUM! Delicious, nutritious and somewhat nautical.

Now that I see the spam, I know you're from Hawaii... :-)

Born & raised...we STILL eat all that kinda stuff. You can take the boy out of Hawai'i...but you can't take Hawai'i out of the boy.

My wife winds up putting the spam "sushi" on the menu for football training camp several times per year. There's a lot of Samoan and Hawaiian boys on the Husky foot ball team and they love that stuff. She also has to make the Hawaiian mac salad (with kewpie mayo - an egg yolk rich mayonaise).

Yep...mac salad; another staple. It's a carb rich diet and I could easily burn it off in my younger days of surfing, diving, paddling etc. NOW it's a different story and I make my carb servings much smaller.
