Age is just a number

I just read on the Good Old Boat site that the current leader in the Golden Globe Race is 73 years old !! At 10 years my senior it made my aches and pains seam trivial !!

Thank you to all my Cbrat friends who continue to inspire me every day.

Regards,

Rob

Merry turned 70 a few days ago. She is eleven years my senior. She says I keep her young, and she give me hope that although my driver's license may say I'm getting older I don't have to grow up.

I am not the oldest on the list who is active by far, but will be 82 in a few days--Never thought I would see the 80's. New diseases keep cropping up and we find solutions and accommodations. Being active both of mind and physically is so important as we age!

Old age, fragile bones, doctor visits, medical checkups, bleeding gums, hair
growing from places it's not needed, pecker (hey, it's in the news) not working
like it used to, forgetting more than most know, a weak bladder, at peace, well
adjusted, loved and living the dream.

"On my way to Omaha."

Aye.

One of the advantages of having aches and pains when we wake up ---
We know we are still alive. Get up and celebrate, be thankful, for there are many who no longer feel those pains.

I like Frank Sinatra's quote about non-drinkers (non age related, but related).

"I feel sorry for people who don't drink. Think about it. When they get
up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel all day."

Aye.
