we arrived in skagway very cloudy no c-dorys spotted still having fun sure beats the florida inferno

The C-dorys are having fun also that’s probably why you don’t see any in the harbor.
If your cruise takes you to Whittier toward the end of the week look for the Triple J, we’ll be headed out for a 3 day weekend Thursday night.

Enjoy

It was bad enough that you escaped your friends and the beautiful heat wave of SW :hot Florida, but now you have to brag about it. Acting like you are on a C-Dory Factory excursion doing a poll on C-Dory's in use in the Great North West. :wink

I hope Loree is having a wonderful time. :P

Hi mike we just spent the day on a tour trains planes automobiles buses etc . Loree and I are having a Great time . I used to fly up here to fairbanks and ancorage for United, but never to SE alaska I really enjoy this part the best . Our next stop is Valdez then seward then Kodiak Island then Junea then victoria then Seattle ,By then I will need to go to the tent factory for clothes Take care everyone enjoy the summer

Keep the travel log going...report in on a regular basis. Let us know if the ship runs out of food because of you. Your only missing the same old thing here ....heat so don't rush back until about September.

Congrats Jim.... I guess this is your first real I am a retired guy trip?? You deserve it.

Ya know, I have often wondered.... if they had a big mother ship, and let us hoist our boats as tenders......and stay in each bay/area/inlet for a couple/few nights.... now just how neat of a cruise would that be?

Hummmm.

Enjoy..and keep posting.

hi Jim & Loree- We know you're enjoying the Alaska cruise-awesome place. We also have cool weather up here in the Apostles & island hopping is fun. They say this is the coolest July on record on Lake Superior but we're not complaining at all.
We'll follow your cruise on C brats. Enjoy.

We saw our second c-dory a blue 25ft cruiser here in Seward on 7/30 we stopped at the Alaska Sea Life center What a neat place a lot to learn My problem when I get in one of these places I stay the day and Loree wants to shop only kidding were off to the small boat harbour Yesterday we took a cruise out of Valdez and saw whales, dolphins, birds ,otters, sea lions etc what a trip Im putting places with Alaska names so now I know where some of my c-brats have gone Im hoping one of these days to do that with my cc-23 . Enjoying Alaska Mike be back by Aug 10-12

OK guys.....some time, some year....we are just going to have to make a convoy..... drag our boats up there and do some of this NW travel.

Yes Jim... I loved my trip up thru the inside passage....but, it was also on a ship. Got on as a passenger, off as cargo. What great food...and not a lot of activity. Just great views everywhere.

Sure would be nice to plunk around in our own boats for a spell.

Yall take in the trip and enjoy Jim. Safe travels and send pics.

Hi Jim,
Just want to let you know we will be looking for you to pass Sequim on your way back. Probably early morning though, and in the fog. We go out each weekend evening to watch the cruise ships go out and wish and remember our trip up there. I'd do that one again, but need to figure out how to toss a line of the stern so we could drag the C-Dory along behind and then do our own daytime (shore ) activities :wink

Travel safe, enjoy and keep keeping us posted. (BTW, are you carrying a Handheld VHF to hail us as you go by? We are there on 16 & 68.)
