Alberta Boat Ramps

Good News.
Boat Ramps in Provincial Parks are allowed to open today in Alberta as part one of the C-19 reopening plans.

Bad News.
Most of the lakes in Alberta are still covered in ice.
 
Ontario marina's were told this week that they are allowed to begin preparing for the season - putting docks in ,etc. as of May 4th. If you have a boat in storage there you can arrange for the staff to put it in the water for you. No date yet as to when they will be open to the public.
 
Funny. While most ramps are starting to reopen our town of Sidney decided last week to close our Tulisata ramp May 1st. Thanks to Sidney Anglers Association and many letters and calls from concerned boaters they saw the error of their ways and rescinded their order :D
