An epic voyage coming to Port Townsend

I suspect that many of you already know about this project:

Moananuiākea is Hōkūle‘a’s 15th major voyage in her first 50 years..

This is certainly a publicity filled voyage, yet it is epic if they are really using ancient navigation techniques, No power or engine aboard.

A page of diagrams of the traditional sailing Canoe which has been voyaging for 50 years!

Yes there are some modern upgrades, like solar panels, radios, and I'll bet a GPS or two. But any way still impressive. A bit of Polynesia. in Port Townsend.

Very cool saw it in Ganges while visiting Salt Spring Island. Very impressive vessel.

Maybe iam just missimg it but how hard would it be to put a port of call list with dates on thier web site? if you can find it gor me you have more patince then I do. should be the first thing on the site or at least in the first drop down menu.

She was up in S.E. Alaska for a good while this summer. Interesting and seaworthy looking vessel. Responsibly outfitted with some com gear.
