OK, when we had Les do the electronics on Daydream, we also had him install a kicker bracket. It is a fixed bracket, he said it would work fine, we would just need to get an extra long shaft, but my question has nothing to do with shaft length! I have borrowed a Honda 15, and when we tried to mount it on the bracket, (A) the bracket sits too low to tighten the clamps, even doing the half turn and flip over routine, and more seriously perhaps (2) when the tiller handle is down, you can turn the motor towards the main motor, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to turn it the other way. This problem would exist no matter what the length of the shaft is. Maybe (A) can be handled by a little shim, I don't know, and certainly don't think that should be necessary, but I see NO solution to (2) other than running with the tiller handle in the up position - people don't do that, do they? What am I missing here?
